You say all this... and in the previous breath you have demanded to see instant results!

Your comedic talents know no bounds.

I want to see PROGRESS on field ...don't you -you was crying for it last year..

Once again, WOULD YOU RECOGNISE IT IF YOU SAW IT..?

I'm not convinced you would.

But even then you'd go back to whingeing about not have Jack Watt's weight updated on the website after he ate breakfast.

I'd prefer JW to muscle up thus increase weight-and yes-I believe we members should get an update on the list changes...at least Cam is showing us what is going on off -field.Height and weight changes show us progress and development but you would not understand that...

Cam has been virtually transparent since he began back at the club.

I'm a big fan of his work.

To say that "height and weight changes show us progress and development"...

I give up. You've won that argument.

Excellent video. I like the idea of it.

I'd agree if I could only watch it. As usual Bugpond won't display it on my Mac regardless of the browser I use.

Is the MFC prevented from putting such stuff up on youtube by some legal deal with the AFL?

Maybe the club could do a biggest loser type thing but call it the biggest gainer. We could track there progress and vote them out if they fall below the yellow line.

No, they've done it in the past with the Demons' Xmas Message.

I've been unable to play it on my mac also.

Try downloading SilverLight 3.0 - worked for me.

Sue you need an extra applicastion to put in your applications folder to run big pond video

I am at work now, and cannot recall name of said app. i have it on my mac at home.

Google BigPond for mac & see how you go, otherwise i will track it down tonight.

Not Being able to watch Bigpond used to drive me crazy!!!

Excellent idea. I heard this presentation previously but still think the video is a great idea. It is an excellent way of communicating with members and helping them understand what the club is all about and what we are trying to achieve.

SilverLight-That's the one!!! Nice one snakey :) :)

HT-- get your point re PATIENCE...but I would also like to see progresion as well.

Absolutely agree. Not a hint of it this pre-season.

Would you recognise it if you saw it..?

Do you have to be a smartass, know-it-all every time you post? Just ONCE Id like to see you add something of substance.

I can recognise the progression OFF the field and I recognise the lack of progression ON-

as do others with half a footy brain, Im sure. JCB's comment above, was spot on.

Theres enough senior players in the team - we SHOULD see some progression and SHOULD HAVE so far this pre-season..

But so far the pre-season, injuries aside, has been a shambles except for a half v adelaide and maybe another quarter or two.

Time to stop [censored] footing around. Anything less than 6-7 wins will be considered another wasted year and so far this year,

we havent played well enough to beat anyone - except maybe Freo and WCE at the 'G - and thats still a maybe.

Who was it that said, 'Footy sucks sometimes' again? .. anyway, they said SOMETIMES.

Says who?

The club has already talked about what they're looking to get out of this year. But either it's not getting through to you, or you don't/can't accept it.

What the hell are you talking about?????????????

Says who?

Id guess most people that post on this website alone would say that 5 or less wins this year is unacceptable.

We basically won 5 games last year! (Thanks to Jordan again..) So how would 5 this year be any improvement?

If we only got 5 wins this year and especcially if its the 'same ol' mistakes and same bad habits' story as it is atm -

Id probably dump half the list again for 2011.

Getting away from the dribble in here...Great stuff Shwabby....Really looking forward to wensdays now.

At last someone else understands the goals for the club, pity a few more have not!!

In spite of the fact there were few senior players on the field during the meaningless practice matches, haven't we already established long ago that our more senior players as a collective are just not up to it?

Isn't that why we started rebuilding in the first place?

Things will change when all of our young promising players become the more senior players in the side.

Not before.

Hahaha the elusive "most people"

This year is about improvement in terms of development. As far as I'm concerned the number in the wins column is largely irrelevant.

Yeah, but we did leave a core group of 'older' players in place.

Surely you'd expect with a group that comprises of: Davey-Slyvia-Green-Moloney-Jones-Rivers-Bruce-Warnock-Capt Mac-Jamar-add Joel Mac too, we should be able to get off Dead last and should be able to expect more than 5 wins?

Fair enough.

So you wouldnt be too upset if we only won 4 or 5 again?

I might end up in a ward sitting through another 17 melbourne losses..

Nope. The above is a list mostly made of solid role players with precious few stars, if any.

Every team needs its role players to complement the stars to create a contender, but without the stars you're going nowhere fast.

I'd be disappointed, but I'd understand.

Cause and effect.

I liked watching it, just for the fact that I felt the club were trying to inform and bring me into the whole process.\

Good idea and I look forward to seeing others.

How do you rate a 'star' tho? Every persons view might be different.

I rate Dav, Green and Bruce as 'stars' - Slyvia close.. throw in Moloney, Jones, Capt mac, Jamar -add Riv, Warnock, Frawls down back (and all these players having been playing together for years now) and you've the makings of a decent team, one that Should be good enough to get us over the line more than 4 or 5 times imo, stars or no stars..

I guess thats where we disagree..

We start 3-4 goals behind every week....:mad::mad: ... It's going to be a long year! harf harf harf

Interesting to see. The amount of work involved in turning around/keeping a football club viable/relevant off the field and on it is just immense! They really do an amazing job.

Here is looking forward to seeing it come to fruition and the cycle from heritage to legacy repeating itself a couple of times over my life cycle.

  • AFLW REPORT: Port Adelaide

Well, that was a shock. The Demons 4-game unbeaten run came to a grinding halt in a tense, scrappy affair at the sunny, windy Alberton Oval, with the Power holding on for a 2-point win. The Dees had their chances—plenty of them—but couldn't convert when it mattered most. Port’s tackling pressure rattled the Dees, triggering a fumble frenzy and surprising lack of composure from seasoned players.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Port Adelaide

The undefeated Demons venture across the continent to the spiritual home of the Port Adelaide Football Club on Saturday afternoon for the inaugural match for premiership points between these long-historied clubs. Alberton Oval will however, be a ground familiar to our players following a practice match there last year. We lost both the game and Liv Purcell, who missed 7 home and away matches after suffering facial fractures in the dying moments of the game.

  • AFLW REPORT: Richmond

A glorious sunny afternoon with a typically strong Casey Fields breeze favouring the city end greeted this round four clash of the undefeated Narrm against the winless Tigers. Pre-match, the teams entered the ground through the Deearmy’s inclusive banner—"Narrm Football Weaving Communities Together and then Warumungu/Yawuru woman and Fox Boundary Rider, Megan Waters, gave the official acknowledgement of country. Any concerns that Collingwood’s strategy of last week to discombobulate the Dees would be replicated by Ryan Ferguson and his Tigers evaporated in the second quarter when Richmond failed to use the wind advantage and Narrm scored three unanswered goals.

  • CASEY: Frankston

The late-season run of Casey wins was broken in their first semifinal against Frankston in a heartbreaking end at Kinetic Stadium on Saturday night that in many respects reflected their entire season. When they were bad, they committed all of the football transgressions, including poor disposal, indiscipline, an inability to exert pressure, and some terrible decision-making, as exemplified by the period in the game when they conceded nine unanswered goals from early in the second quarter until halfway through the third term. You rarely win when you do this.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecast—20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze — expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.
