The fact still remains that if Dunn had shown us he was good enough we wouldn't be having this discussion. I still hold a glimmer of hope for him but let's face it what we've seen so far hardly leaves you salivating for more. The FD know exactly where he is at. I Find the Situation with Dunn (& to a lesser Degree Matt Bate) but Mainly Dunn-He came into the side as a fairly good forward line was starting to tire & since has been around a forward line & Midfield that has been sub standard.

Because of this i don't think we can really ascertain where Lynden Dunn is in terms of his career yet. There is something about him i like, & i want to see him play once the midfield is up and gaining confidence. Lynden Dunn needs a few consecutive games, sure he has to earn them but i hope it happens. We need him, he could be the loose cannon up forward.

to be honest i dont expect aussie to kick any goals.. go out there get a feel of the pace of the game.. get a couple of kicks and play him maybe for a half. il be a very happy man if this happens.

I am looking for just a BIT of cohesive forward line system. Smart leading, clever passing. Luckily this is one of Wonna's strengths. On the minus side neither of those guys have huge kicks on them, which would mean one will have to work up the ground a bit I would have thought, to give the other room to get possession within range.

Also, they picked a bad week to first play together. That's a misery defence. Especially with us. Remember last season? Ye Gods.

congrats to wonna for making it back...he's seems like the kinda player who will always have a feel for it provided he is fit.

Also we do not have a strong onball group picked for the game with Col, Beamer and Davey (even though he spent most of his time across half back last year) out. There could be a fair old lack of supply into our fwd line this week. Will be intersting to see the defensive pressure the fwds apply this week as Adelaide stream out of defense with such speed.

Great news about Aussie, and thank goodness we're resting our senior players, especially the injury prone ones in Davey, Moloney and Sylvia. The last thing we need is another long term injury sustained in a meaningless practice game.

I think most believe that Dunn should played in one particular spot over a sustained period of time rather thrown around everywhere. id like to see him played as a lead up forward or maybe on a forward flank, his got the size the engine and as he has been used as a run with player he must have the speed, lets just see him hold a position down and see what his really got.

He can also kick goals. That automatically puts him ahead of some of our automatic picks.

Im not saying he cant play football, im saying that to this point he has shown zero potential to break out like Sylvia.

Sylvia has always had great endeavour for the ball, aggression towards the opponent and can break lines. Although Dunn may have potential, so do I, but you wont see me going through the banner on the weekend.

I'm not sure I'd be risking him on a dodgy suburban ground in Adelaide.

Elizabeth is the home of the Central Districts and would probably be one of the better gounds in Australia.

Interesting to note the club has decided NOT to take Wona to Adelaide. the clubs website states that Forwards Austin Wonaeamirri and Matthew Bate will play an intra club practice match with VFL team Casey Scorpions tonight, after a decision was made not to play them in this weekends NAB Challenge game.

Wonaeamirri missed the entire 2009 season with injury, and will be aiming to throw his hat into the ring for selection in Round 1.

On our website it states that Wona is back along with Dunn,Spencer and McNamara .Great to get some preactice into this lot. Al be it, Bennell, Sylvia and Moloney will be rested and Cale will be back after 8 weeks or so. Strong list I think.

I don't think we've got a hope with that squad. But hopefully our young guns will step up without SlyviaMoloney and Davey

Good result all round. I particularly like that Bate is back on the park this weekend. Our injury list is shrinking quickly, on the way to being in good shape come Rnd 1 *touch wood*

That defence could be an audition for round 1 V's Hawks.

Would be very disapointing if our defence gets killed tonight considering Adelaide are missing Burton and Porplyzia.

I understand the rational behind it, the sitting down.. back related.. have to becareful etc etc, but it is only to Adelaide it's not like he is flying 4 hours to Perth. I hope he didn't sit down at all last night after he played.....
