I'm guessing no one suspected that the Roos would beat Geelong.

It was a gutsy win by the Roos. I liked the game of Warren and Goldstein.

More importantly, if we get through tonight, we'll play the Roos and not Geelong.

Surely our chances of advancing further look a lot better without the cats in the draw.

Thoughts?

We haven't even played yet.

While it's great to know that a win means we get to play North in Melbourne (albeit at the craphole that is Etihad), I think we should wait to see how we go tonight.

I wouldn't be surprised if we lost to be honest.

North looked really good. The Saints pressure pressure pressure game plan. Warren had a good game considering in the 3rd he was off the ground with a knock the the "midsection" spewing.

Love watching footy at Etihad, and they will be commencing a resurfacing ground as of tonight if I read correctly.

I know this sounds stupid, but we'd probably have a better chance of beating Geelong than North - who clearly have the wood on us. I don't know what is about North Melbourne but they've been spanking us since 2007.

As per Jaded - we haven't even played yet. We haven't returned to Tullamarine airport with a win since 2006. Let's speculate after tonight's game

Brad Scott's done a good job with that group. Nice bunch of youngers (Ziebell, Anthony, Goldstein, Greenwood, Warren, Campbell).

Hes been there all of 5 mins as well, and already has a very young group of guys playing the way he wants.

North were fantastic yesterday, will provide plenty of hope for their supporters and reasons for them to put their hands in their pockets and purchase memberships.

I would not be putting their name up in lights after one game in February.

Scott has inherited a list with a good mix of senior and junior players with generally a good leadership group. I am not sure where their improvement over the season will come with Simpson retiring, Harvey in his twilight and still having midfield issues.

Are they the same supporters that dont turn up to matches? North are just as big if not bigger financial basket case than MFC.

    UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

    Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft.     Demonland Trackwatchers ventured down to Gosch's Paddock for the final week of training for the 1st to 4th Years until they are joined by the rest of the senior squad for Preseason Training Camp in Mansfield next week.
