I thought Buddy was still carrying a suspension for Round 1 ?

The original Afl.com.au article listed Buddy in the headline and then 5 mins later was changed. I made the necessary changes to the title of the thread.

Now the Sqawkers I won't underate but we certainly will have a better game of it than previous season openings :)

Be careful!

I remember in round 1 2008, they were missing Crawford, Hodge, Lewis, Brown and couple of others...and still beat us by 104 points.

That's what i was thinking.

I actually would have liked them to come at us full strength. It bothers me when a team has half it's side out, we get close (or battle manfully) and then people suggest that they "weren't at full strength anyway." Also it kind fo shows us where we need to improve.

For that reason, I can't wait to see us up against the Cats at HOPEFULLY full strength. We find out a lot about the 22 that week. I remember Bailey said something like this last season.

    TRAINING: Monday 16th December 2024

    Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy.     A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan.     Some veteran Demonland Trackwatchers ventured down to Gosch's Paddock to bring you the following observations from another Preseason Training Session. WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders.     Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9.
