Happy New Year to everyone as well. I have enjoyed the year here.. not due to our excellent footballiing skills in 09 but for all the banter and "experimentation" talk, draft discussions etc etc.. we had known for a long time that we stood to gain the two best kids in the land as long as the club was as focused as we were, well we woudl be ok . The Richmond game still lingers as one of the most stressful games I have ever watched and I still thank the deaf umpire and Jordan McMahon for Jack Trengove.

Looking forward to seeing our draftees emerge and begin their AFL careers with style, LJ to continue to amaze us, Col Sylvia continue his good form from 09 and head towards elite status, a B & F and some solid polling in the Brownlow. I also look forward to seeing Jack Watts take a regular role up forward this year and begin what will be the start of a long and fulfilling career.. I know he played in 09 but I am taking this year as his first real year and he is still eligible for the Rising Star!!

Go Dees we look forward to seeing the start of an amazing Demon decade!!

The Richmond game still lingers as one of the most stressful games I have ever watched and I still thank the deaf umpire and Jordan McMahon for Jack Trengove.

Agree Deb. Non Demon people will acknowledge the importance of that decision and kick in the coming years. I hated the game until Jordan McMahon threw his hands up in the air and was mobbed by his team mates.

    Demonland Trackwatcher Gator ventured down the freeway to bring you his observations from Friday morning's Match Simulation out at Casey Fields. Rehab: Jake Lever and Charlie Spargo running laps.  Lever was running short distances at a fast click as well as having kick to kick with a trainer. He seems unimpeded.     THAT WAS THE YEAR THAT WAS: 2024

    Whichever way you look at it, the Melbourne Football Club’s 2024 season can only be characterized as the year of its fall from grace. Whispering Jack looks back at the season from hell that was.
