It's official!!

I'm Excited!!!!

I hope all the uneducated d#*kheads in the media spell TRENGOVE'S name correctly! There is no 2nd " R ".

I was sick of hearing about Russell RobINson.

Its the height of ignorance to do this. Been listening to the draft on SEN1116 and they were repeat offenders.

Lets get it right now and for ever, AMEN!

Trengove at point

Watts at shooting guard

Gawn as pwer forward

Stef Martin at small forward

We've got one hell of a basketball team.

Incredible pick up and has me frothing at the mouth for round 1, might even make my way down to a NAB cup game for the first time. I am super keen on seeing him play for the Demons!

DAMN..he looked good in a Melbourne jumper on the stage!

I am so excited about this bloke. I'm shaking, I just seriously cannot wait for next year.

This is both the best and worst photo I have seen in a while.

Bailey's mo is just so, so very wrong.

Go jacky baby!

It looks fantastic and you know it.

You're ashamed to be attracted to a bald man with a porno moustache and you're acting out.

Keep it going, Bails.

I suppose that that statement is equally as wrong as saying I'd rather the other two, given they are both barely of legal drinking age! :o:lol:

I think it is crazy how tall all the recruits are. The entire first round all dwarfed their coaches! Trengove looks like a freaking CHF in that post! Gawn will just look like a freak show!

What's drinking got to do with it?

Is It just me or does he move alot like Luke Hodge? I think I'm more excited about Trengove than Scully. Jack just oozes class.

Know what you mean, but it's the "both ... and" that's exciting.

YEEEEEAH BIIITCH!

Yeah Baby!!!

These were the quotes I said at the time with one or two expletives when JT was called out.

Well done Krazy_4_JT.

Who's shooting from the 3 point line ? JT ?

DAMN..he looked good in a Melbourne jumper on the stage!

You can say that again.

I was hoping for our new version. You know..the blood red, darker blue, sharper "V" like the ol' days...the one CS says is not far away...

What's drinking got to do with it?

That's what I thought.........she must like a drink. ;)

It was to symbolise how young they are, and therefore how wrong any physical attraction to them would be.

But yes, you aren't far off on the drinks bit

  • PREVIEW: St. Kilda

The media has performed a complete reversal in its coverage of the Melbourne Football Club over the past month and a half. Having endured intense criticism from all quarters in the press, which continually identified new avenues for scrutiny of every aspect, both on and off the field, and prematurely speculated about the departures of coaches, players, officials, and various employees from a club that lost its first five matches and appeared out of finals contention, the narrative has suddenly shifted to one of unbridled optimism.  The Demons have won five of their last six matches, positioning themselves just one game (and a considerable amount of percentage) outside the top eight at the halfway mark of the season. They still trail the primary contenders and remain far from assured of a finals berth.

  • REPORT: Sydney

A few weeks ago, I visited a fellow Melbourne Football Club supporter in hospital, and our conversation inevitably shifted from his health diagnosis to the well-being of our football team. Like him, Melbourne had faced challenges in recent months, but an intervention - in his case, surgery, and in the team's case, a change in game style - had brought about much improvement.  The team's professionals had altered its game style from a pedestrian and slow-moving approach, which yielded an average of merely 60 points for five winless games, to a faster and more direct style. This shift led to three consecutive wins and a strong competitive effort in the fourth game, albeit with a tired finish against Hawthorn, a strong premiership contender.  As we discussed our team's recent health improvement, I shared my observations on the changes within the team, including the refreshed style, the introduction of new young talent, such as rising stars Caleb Windsor, Harvey Langford, and Xavier Lindsay, and the rebranding of Kozzy Pickett from a small forward to a midfield machine who can still get among the goals. I also highlighted the dominance of captain Max Gawn in the ruck and the resurgence in form in a big way of midfield superstars Christian Petracca and Clayton Oliver.

  • POSTGAME: Sydney

The Demons controlled the contest from the outset, though inaccurate kicking kept the Swans in the game until half time. But after the break, Melbourne put on the jets and blew Sydney away and the demolition job was complete.
