Which KPF should we draft?

With Watts and Jurrah in the forwardline, I think we need a BIG body to take some attention off then.

Miller could fill this positionwhich would free up Watts who could play a roaming CHF with Jurrah being the 3rd tall, freeing him up aswell.

The big body doesn't need to be a star (as Mr. Morton alluded to Mooney), but I think it would be handy if they could kick a little better than Miller.

I think we draft one KPF with a big body and if a trade possibility arises in the next two years, we jump on it.

This sums up my thoughts almost to the letter. We just need a big body like Miller/PJ/Jamar up forward to take the oppositions best defender and allow Watts and Jurrah a little more freedom to develop their game. Will stand them in pretty good stead for the future.

I think only one of our high picks (probably 18) should be on a KPF and I'm leaning towards Black or Temel.

I For one was/am a Majak Daw fan, Happy with Scully and Trengove (goes without saying), Don't know much about Gysberts but from all reports has the ability to make a good AFL player, I was wrapped to get Tapscott at 18 and can't wait too see him in action, Gawn again don't know much about but we need rucks lets hope, Fitzpatrick i watched during the under 18's carnival as he was rated as a potential top 30 pick IMO was average at best he is on our list so i will support him but i was hoping we called out Majak Daws name at pick 50 this kid will be a gem!

His name bobbed up this week as a goalkicker in the VFL reserves. Meantime, the likes of Butcher, Griffiths and Fitzpatrick aren't even playing ATM. It shows how risky it is to use early picks on prospective tall forwards and suggests that you have to be both fortunate and patient when selecting some of them.

I think it's fair to say that Panos bad more bulk at a younger age and he was good with his body work.

His skills, reading of he play, marking, engine, athleticism were all good, but not exceptional.

Recruiters expect draftees to fill out over time and learn the game from the coaches.

They draft based on things you can't teach, like exceptional athleticism, ferrari engine, freakish skills, strong pack marking in spite of slight frame, etc.

Things that will translate to AFL level and possibly allow the player to be elite.

Panos was/is a Jack of all trades.

Could still come out and prove a lot of people wrong.

Good example of patience regarding early picks and how risky it can be : Scott Gumbleton ; Jack Watts.

And if it all works out - fortunate.

That's a bit rough.

I'd rate him as a young Ben Holland but moe mobile and potential to be quite a bit better than dutchy was.
