Ok now that the draft order is finally set here's my prediction up until Melbourne's final pick.

1. Tom Scully (Melbourne)

2. Jack Trengove (Melbourne)

3. Dustin Martin (Richmond)

4. Anthony Morabito (Fremantle)

5. Ben Cunnington (North Melbourne)

6. Gary Rohan (Sydney)

7. Kane Lucas (West Coast)

8. Luke Tapscott (Port Adelaide)

9. James Craig (Port Adelaide)

10. Koby Stevens (Essendon)

11. John Butcher (Melbourne)

18. Lewis Jetta (Melbourne)

Mmmm a bit biased....looks like you've based it around who yiou want at Melbourne's picks. Port would take Butcher ahead of Craig, fo' sho. Jetta won't last to pick 18

How much do you know about Black? Pretty keen to hear about him as no one really knows much about him

I know that he is very competitive, tall, strong, has a good footy brain and showed he can play with the older blokes too.

can take a mark and kicking is good also

True, they are the players that I'd like to see at Melbourne but I think there's a very strong chance it could pan out this way. Port have shown over the years their preference to draft South Australians over other states players due to the go home factor, eg Hartlett last year at pick 4 ahead of Rich. Which is why I think there's a strong chance they'll take Craig, also it's been well publiciced their desire for ruckman and they didn't do anything to address that during trade week.

As for Jetta getting to 18, I agree will be a tough ask, but if some teams are put off due to the fact they'd be drafting a 20 year old instead of a 18 year old then he'd be in with a chance of falling through.

we wont get jetta - he will go top ten.... i would think to the eagles!!!

interesting you dont have Taylor in there.... he might be a little troubled bu he is a super player - i would love to get him at 34

Black also might be a better fit for us than butcher - he is strong, crashes packs and loves a contest (i might be wrong here, but i have my concerns over butcher's work rate/head space)

Yeah it'll be interesting to see where Jetta goes I agree, could be as high as 7 or as low as 20 IMO. I know West Coast are tossing up between him and Lucas.

I had Troy Taylor in at pick 28, or were you refering to Mitchell Taylor?

As for Balck I agree there's a strong chance we may draft him at pick 18, I think it depends on who we draft at pick 11.

Most people seem set on Scully and Trengove at 1 and 2. Most people seem set on KPP's at 11 and 18 and most people seem set on Dylan Grimes at 34. Few people have us picking beyong 34.

I have to say regarding using later picks, if Majak Daw was still up for grabs with our 4th round pick I'd like us to take him. Obviously this would depend heavily on how much room we have on our list, but I think he'd be worth a punt as a late pick. I'm a big fan of his but I have to concede he's not good enough/ready to go high early in the draft.

He is making all the right noises. That description sounds very appealing. Going only off my internet knowledge, if Butcher is not there at 11 I'm hoping we draft Black.

jetta i believe will be an eagle with 7 - if they go Lucas he might slip to 11 but i doubt it!! if he does we must take him

Troy Taylor i meant - he is a gun but has off field issues... hes attractive though due to us having davey, aussie, jurrah, jamie, nev. They could be a good influence on him! he is a star player.....

we should take Black if he is available at 11 and Butcher is gone! i think he is as good as butcher

    THE BLOW by Whispering Jack

Narrm’s finals prospects took a crushing blow after the team’s insipid performance at Optus Stadium against a confident Waaljit Marawar in the first of its Doug Nicholls Round outings for 2024.  I use the description “crushing blow” advisedly because, although the season is not yet at it’s halfway mark, the Demons have now failed abysmally in two of their games against teams currently occupying bottom eight places on the ladder.  The manner in which these losing games were played out w

HALF FULL by KC from Casey

It was a case of the Casey Demons going into a game with a glass half full in their match up against the Brisbane Lions at Casey Fields on Saturday. As the list of injured and unavailable AFL and VFL listed players continues to grow and with Melbourne taking all three emergencies to Perth for the weekend on a “just in case” basis, its little brother was always destined to struggle. Casey was left with only eight AFL listed players from who to select their team but only two - an out-of-form

GAMEDAY: Rd 10 vs West Coast

It's Game Day and the Demons have returned to the site of their drought breaking Premiership to take on the West Coast Eagles in what could very well be a danger game for Narrm at Optus Stadium. A win and a percentage boost will keep the Dees in top four contention whilst a loss will cast doubt on the Dees flag credentials and bring them back to the pack fighting for a spot in the 8 as we fast approach the halfway point of the season.

    WARNING by William from Waalitj

As a long term resident of Waalitj Marawar, I am moved to warn my fellow Narrm fans that a  danger game awaits. The locals are no longer the easybeats who stumbled, fumbled and bumbled their way to the good fortune of gathering the number one draft pick and a generational player in Harley Reid last year. They are definitely better than they were then.   Young Harley has already proven his worth with some stellar performances for a first year kid playing among men. He’s taken hangers, k

OVER YET? by KC from Casey

The Friday evening rush hour clash of two of the VFL’s 2024 minnows, Carlton and the Casey Demons was excruciatingly painful to watch, even if it was for the most part a close encounter. I suppose that since the game had to produce a result (a tie would have done the game some justice), the four points that went to Casey with the win, were fully justified because they went to the best team. In that respect, my opinion is based on the fact that the Blues were a lopsided combination that had
