Shocking clanger from Cale....kicked the ball about 10m straight to a port player.

Jurrah 3 goals looks amazing and Dunn showing something.

Melbourne 4.2 26

Port 3.3 21

I'm overseas, just started listening online.

Excited about Jurrah's goals, he took a hanger?

He just gave a nice long handball to set up moloney's goal as well.

I'll probably get a bit of stick for this, but it looks like Scully is headed elsewhere.

OK well here are some of my thoughts after watching the first half live on TV in Adelaide....

Melbourne up by 2 goals at half time....

Jurrah - The talent people have been talking about is certainly there for all to see today! Unbelievable first half..... 3 goals, a couple of hangers and probably another 3 goal assists.... His awareness is top class and he even launches as the third ruckman, hitting it to advantage in the F50.... Awesome!

Bate - Some really good signs.... With 100% endeavour he looks really classy

Jamar - Great effort in the ruck so far against Brogan and Lade.... Killing it around the ground

Daniel Bell - Enjoy this match mate.... It should and I repeat, SHOULD be your last!! Nowhere near good enough for AFL and I am sick of seeing you try and fail

Wheatley - Your services have been great over the years.... Unfortunately the ride is about to end

All in all it is a good game.... Some really good passages of play but still some bad skill errors and decision making....

Now the question is..... To win or not to win?!?!?!

We shall find out shortly ;)

To add to this

Jetta has had a really good game, his pressure is fantastic.

Cameron Bruce doing what he does every week playing a good steady game.

Yeah the boys are certainly not on board the Scully tank, and unless we dish up our usual 3rd quarter rubbish, we are in real danger of winning this. We should be much further infront as well the way we are dominating.

Jurrah is unbelievable, his vertical leap is phenomenal. Dunn has also been very good and seeing him suck Cornes in was awesome. Jamar, Morton and McLean very good as well.

Hard to not barrack for a victory but...

On the AFL Match Centre page there is a half time video that shows highlights of the first half, I can hear the commentary but can't see the vision, is it working for anyone else?

On a day like today (and last week too), when Bate is playing with good delivery, he plays his best. Without this good delivery, hopeless. Shows how important it is to improve our midfield, to bring the rest of our team up to scratch.

Could go today, gotta play basketball at 5... disappointed.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
