  • IMPORTANT: PLEASE READ BEFORE POSTING

Posting unsubstantiated rumours on this website is strictly forbidden.

Demonland has made the difficult decision to not permit this platform to be used to discuss & debate the off-field issues relating to the Melbourne Football Club including matters currently being litigated between the Club & former Board members, board elections, the issue of illicit drugs in footy, the culture at the club & the personal issues & allegations against some of our players & officials ...

We do not take these issues & this decision lightly & of course we believe that these serious matters affecting the club we love & are so passionate about are worthy of discussion & debate & I wish we could provide a place where these matters can be discussed in a civil & respectful manner.

However these discussions unfortunately invariably devolve into areas that may be defamatory, libelous, spread unsubstantiated rumours & can effect the mental health of those involved. Even discussion & debate of known facts or media reports can lead to finger pointing, blame & personal attacks.

The repercussion is that these discussions can open this website, it’s owners & it’s users to legal action & may result in this website being forced to shutdown.

Our moderating team are all volunteers & cannot moderate the forum 24/7 & as a consequence problematic content that contravenes our rules & standards may go unnoticed for some time before it can be removed.

We reserve the right to delete posts that offend against our above policy & indeed, to ban posters who are repeat offenders or who breach our code of conduct.

WE HAVE BUILT A FANTASTIC ONLINE COMMUNITY AT DEMONLAND OVER THE PAST 23 YEARS & WE WOULD LIKE TO CONTINUE TO BE ABLE TO DISCUSS THE CLUB WE LOVE & ARE SO PASSIONATE ABOUT.

Thank you for your continued support & understanding. Go Dees.

Gee, I hope Greeny is ready for a game....how we miss him !!!!

I know for a fact that Green WILL be in next week.

I heard it from the horse's mouth.

I was in a lift with him at half time and he said he is defiantly back

Have i missed something? How was Bell's game today utterly horrible, and the worst in history?

Sure it wasn't great, but he lifted in the second half, had about 10 touches in the third quarter.

Agree in the 3rd and a bit of the 4th he found some ball, but overall he was beaten by his opponent and his direct opponent kicked 3 goals in like the first 10 minutes.

I disagree with people saying Bartram should be dropped, he gives 100%.

I was really disapointed watching JMAC. I love the guy but he didn't give 2 shits. How was it when he kicked across goal in front of the members, ball was turned over and he just stood there with his hands on his knees until they kicked a goal, it took about 20 seconds from the turnover for them to score, he could have got their to at least put a bit more pressure on.

Newton really struggled, despite being a great tease with another piece of Juice (the goal), he was crap.

A strange yet amazing fact over this season is that Valenti and CJ are almost our best players in the team. Very weird yesterday to rather someone kick it to CJ over Bruce.

The defence tried hard all day and I liked Warnocks effort, apart from that dropped mark.

It was a bad game, it was cold, boring, cold, poor skills, cold and im probably going to get sick which sucks because I have no sick leave left.

Onto the changes for next week.

OUT: Bell, Newton

IN: Green, Wonaeamirri

Might be just me but.......

i think Bate needs a trip to sandy actually.

He has been pretty poor as of late and really seems to be lacking confidence to take the game on.

OUT- Newton, Bell, Bate, Jamar

IN- Aussie, Green, White, Yze

Drrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr guys the whole idea of playing young guys is to get games under their belts, Sylvia etc included shiet Superman couldn't get a kick ATM.

I would have Wheatley and Aussie before Petterd and Holland at this stage.

Sorry.

Yes I would prefer that too.

We can't be 100% sure Wheatley is coming back though.

Pretty certain Green will play this week, hoping the 22 is below.

BP: Whelan Warnock Martin

HB: Green Garland Petterd

C: Davey Jones CJohnson

HF: Bruce Bate Maric

FP: Wona Miller PJ

R: Jamar Macca Dunn

Inter: Buckley, Valenti, Morton, Bartram/Sylvia (either way)

Well firstly can I say it will be pleasing to see the team on Thursday and see 4 players on the interchange for the first time in months....

Anyway:

IN: Petterd, Holland, Wonaeamirri, Green

OUT: Newton, Bell, Bartram, Sylvia,

If Green not fit then Sylvia stays. Davey's a possibility to get suspended.

Without having seen a replay on TV, I reckon Davey has something to worry about. His brain explosion when he ironed out Thomas, with no eyes for the footy, could cost him a week or two.

Saw it on the Tele a number of times. Absolutely nothing to answer.

Nothing was even mentioned about him having anything to worry about.

LEADERS OF THE PACK by The Oracle

I was asked to write a preview of this week’s Round 8 match between Melbourne and Geelong. The two clubs have a history that goes right back to the time when the game was starting to become an organised sport but it’s the present that makes the task of previewing this contest so interesting. Both clubs recently reached the pinnacle of the competition winning premiership flags in 2021 and 2022 respectively, but before the start of this season, many good judges felt their time had passed - n

    TRAINING: Monday 29th April 2024

Demonland Trackwatcher Kev Martin was on hand at Gosch's Paddock for Monday's training session and made the following observations. About 38 to 40  players down at training.  BBB walking laps.  Charlie Spargo still in rehab, doing short run throughs.  Christian Salem has full kit on and doing individual work with a trainer. He is is starting to get into some sprints. I cannot see Andy Moniz-Wakefield out there. Jack Viney and Kade Chandler have broken away from the

    DISCO INFERNO by Whispering Jack

Two weeks ago, when the curtain came down on Melbourne’s game against the Brisbane Lions, the team trudged off the MCG looking tired and despondent at the end of a tough run of games played in quick succession. In the days that followed, the fans wanted answers about their team’s lamentable performance that night and foremost among their concerns was whether the loss was a one off result of fatigue or was it due to other factor(s) of far greater consequence.  As it turns out, the answer to

TIGERS PUNT CASEY by KC from Casey

The afternoon atmosphere at the Swinburne Centre was somewhat surreal as the game between Richmond VFL and the Casey Demons unfolded on what was really a normal work day for most Melburnians. The Yarra Park precinct marched to the rhythm of city life, the trains rolled by, pedestrians walked by with their dogs and the traffic on Punt Road and Brunton Avenue swirled past while inside the arena, a football battle ensued. And what a battle it was? The Tigers came in with a record of two wins f
