If youre wondering why I am back early when I said id be off til October, its cos with Jamar, CJ and Miller all easily in our best players, I can only assume that the universe is about to end.

So I may as well spend it on Demonland.

You are probably the most predictable poster on this site.

Came back to give Sylvia 6 undeserved votes. Brad Green and Brad Miller are far more worthy recipients and you know it.

6- Green

5- Miller

4- CJ

3- Sylvia

2- PJ

1- Valenti (stood up when Brock went down.... possibly the most horrible moment of my life ;))

if I was interested in stats I would have Whelan and Bruce in my votes.

I am more interested in impact.

Today's match weighting is over 1 or 100% for only the second time this year (which should be obvious because you only get over 1 when you win!) = 1.010869.

In honour of Demon Head's magnificent performance of tippping Melbourne to win against the odds, he has the honour of naming his best six for inclusion in the POTY award. Unfortunatley, I can't all Y_M's votes because he's been filtered out of my visibility for the next 6 months as promised elsewhere. Bad luck mate but you should keep trying though :D .

1- Valenti (stood up when Brock went down.... possibly the most horrible moment of my life ;) )

i thought he had a stinker today... seemed to be rushed all the time, which resulted in bad decisions with the ball... got enough of it, but needs to use it better... don't drop him though, he'll learn and a couple of weeks up will do him good...

as for my votes...

6. Green

5. Miller

4. Sylvia

3. C. Johnson

2. L. Dunn - another scalp in simon black. got a few touches but wasn't very effective.

1. C. Bruce

plenty of others deserving today though, especially compared to other weeks... Wheatley, Whelan, Jamar, Bate, P. Johnson...

Thanks for the honour. In all humility I must say it was a fluke and I was, after all 2 goals off because I tipped up to win by 13 points and we only won by 1.

My best players -

6 Brad Green

5 Paul Wheatley

4 Brad Miller

3 Chris Johnson

2 Colin Sylvia

1 Colin Garland

6 - Green

5 - Miller

4 - Sylvia

3 - CJ

Special mention to Dunn for collecting a second scalp (Black was ineffectual compared to his usual).

6- Brad Green (A class above...)

5- Brad Miller (Inspirational performance. His first real 'Neita-like' game.)

4- Chris Johnson. (Best game. By milessss. Wouldve been BOG if he'd hit more targets.)

3- Col Sylvia. (Almost career-best performance today by Col. Could it be a turning point?)

2- Matt Whelan. (Great to have him back there.)

1- Cameron Bruce. (Disposal was a bit shoddy again, but lifted when it mattered and did the hard things better this week. Great shepherd to setup one of Wona's goals)

Special mentions go to Dunn for his job on Black, Buckley for his lifted defensive workrate and disposal, Jamar and PJ for the armchair ride they gave our onballers, Garland and Warnock against the odds... Wheatley, Jones, Aussie, Bate etc etc...

Everyone contributed today, which is a great sign. A really good, even team effort by the boys. It was also encouraging that we were able to have such a good attacking win without much influence from Davey.

I love Wheaters, but I personally thought his disposal, along with Whelan's, almost cost us the game.

6: CJ - I thought CJ was superb by foot today in general. A bit of a "stats" winner here, but I thought he was among our most damaging.

5: Green - Just give him the Bluey.

4: Sylvia - Was the most imposing forward... Lost count of his marks inside fifty, and he had 15+ touches to boot.

3: Miller - Not the complete game, but won the match nonetheless.

2: Whelan - Gee we've missed him. Can't understand the retirement talk.

1: Wheatley - Was very very good.

Honourable mentions for Jamar who worked really hard... Dunn who earned his place... and Bruce who was solid, if not damaging or spectacular.

Whelan's kicking wasn't great, but he still had 32 touches at 91%

6 Green

5 Miller

4 Johnson

3 Whelan

2 Jamar

1 Bruce

Warnock i thought was very good on Brown for the most, Sylvia had a pretty good game ruined by moments of stupidity. Black had 23 touches

6 - Green

5 - Miller

4 - Dunn

3 - Whelan

2 - Sylvia

1 - C Johnson

I'm reviewing mine... Putting in Bate for a vote. He was solid all day, and was the man putting it inside fifty the last couple of times...

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Geelong

It’s been a season of grit, growth, and glimpses of brilliance—mixed with a few tough interstate lessons. Now, with finals looming, the Dees head to Kardinia Park for one last tune-up before the real stuff begins.

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
