Mate there is the Chalk bar a very short walk away from the Gabba, The issue i have is my Old man and Uncle have said the they won't be coming to the game this year, its not worth the hour drive from the Gold Coast, its sad as they both are Demons through and through. its all very quite today OD, i think they have been told to bunker down and concentrate on football this week (my thought anyway). No press conferences, no social media just self reflection and football would be a great start, lets hope Neeld is brushing up on Game day coaching 101 as he got taken to school by Port's third choice coach yesterday!

I have read through Stuies and Rjay's continued argument and you could both go on forever. I believe at this point in time our playing group, coaches, Board, President and CEO have not done enough. Its quite easy for them all to point the finger at each other, but they have all NOT DONE ENOUGH to stop the rot. I just got back from the states and i was amazed at how Jerry Buss was portrayed in LA. Talk about a defining leader who employed and developed the best in his organisation. Thats the thing that hurts me the most. Everyone excluding the supporters and members that are directing employed by the MFC have not done enough. They need to lift NOW, not tomorrow, not next week, NOW. This could be the line in the sand for the MFC, where we're united and home truths are spoken about not just between the players and coaches. I am not expecting anything to change, but i will be waiting. if the vast opinions and ego's can come together through Demonland, the MFC should be a breeze, these people are being paid to be there.

I dont believe that we just rolled over Outside Fifty, i read that Connolly and Bailey confessed what went on and this led to their suspensions and the clubs 500k fine. I think that is a complete cop out for the playing group to say that because our president didnt go to court against the AFL thats why the boys didn't turn up. I just don't buy that. Either they just don't want to play for Neeld as they did Bailey and they think they can get him fired, or Neeld cannot coach, or the thought they were going to cruise to victory on sunday and were caught flat footed. I am very interested to see what happens on the training track this week and the game on saturday night. The home truths spoken on Sunday could be the very thing that was required. Lets hope that certain players ripped through our entire back line, told our midfield (not including Viney, Toumpas and M.Jones) to stand up and stop being walked over every bloody game. The new recruits that played up forward that that is not good enough, you play like that again and you will never suit up in the red and blue. Next week we will have, Trengrove, Mcdonald and Dawes in the team. I just hope Dunn, Watts, Frawley and Garland were put on notice in the rooms. they were non existent. Its a scary thought when i would of preferred MacDonald in then any of them (i shudder typing that). This group of players is playing for the future of our club, if this attitudes keeps up their won't be a MFC in years to come and i doubt they even know that!.

WOW.... The scary thing is that that didn't even give us a serve, is that a worse word then irrelevant? We're in absolute crisis at the moment, let's see how we respond over the first half of the season. I used to get my back up over articles like this, he is 100% spot on, maybe we should buy 50 papers and hand them out at training to the players & coaches. I'm starting to become uninterested in the season already. The scariest thing is I don't care that much...

I would love to see you guys who are bagging Neeld to do the same to the playing group for once. Go to training and games and give the playing gourp a good serve. As i mentioned previously we have one of the best coaching panels in the league and you're bagging the head coach. we have NO ON FIELD LEADERSHIP WHAT SO EVER, we have the worst playing group and the league with no upsides besides a few first gamers (lucky us). We ended up with Neeld not jesus guys!. i am so over certain posters obsessions when Shite hits the fan to sack the coach!. look over history at what happens to every time a coached has been sacked Danniher to Bailey we went backwards, Bailey to Neeld Backwards. Get a grip, if by round 22 we're like this then by all means start these threads until then we are stuck with who we have unfortunately

Roost - you're kidding yourself, the greatest coach in the world could not change today's result. We have a woeful list that seems to be completely unable to listen to coaches instructions. Lets not start this bulshite about a new coach, lets make the players accountable for once hey!. Neeld is not the problem here!!!! anyone with football knowledge would know we have one of the best coaching panels in the league its a shame we have a reserve grade playing roster and you cannot blame the current coaches for that!, get angry at the players.

Well after ripping my MFC jersey off my chest and destroying it after the 3rd quarter i went for a 55km bike ride as i was furious. After a cheeky Whisky i am ready to say my thoughts on today. Our back line should not be paid for the efforts today. Whoever said on here to sign Jack Watts up for a 5 year contract would regret those words. I have stuck up for him since day dot, Today him and Dunn were our worst players by far!. Itleast Watts can kick, Dunn was woeful should be made to play for free for the coming weeks. - Watts and Dunn should be dropped next week Nicho - i see a lot of posters having a crack at him, i disagree itleast the bloke had a bloody go!, he through himself into everything Jamar - A shocker, we really need him to stand up and he didn't, taps are ineffective and he cannot move around the ground Garland - simply not AFL level Gilles - should never have the pleasure to pull on a Demons jersey again, disgraceful footballer Frawley - battled all day Grimes - Had a crack all day, did some great things, should be proud of trying to lead from the front Viney - A superstar in the making Jones & Toumpas - did some great things, Jones made an impact by the end of the year Toumpas will warrant his number 4 picl Sylvia - was barely noticed (but seriously who was surpirsed) Sellar - not AFL standard Pederson - Not AFL standard Howe - was ok Rodan & Byrnes - tried all day but at the end of the day are players that other clubs didnt want (i was expecting miracles by either) N.Jones - Played well in the first half but was heavily tagged in the 2nd half Mckenzie - tries his ass off but cannot hit the side of the barn Tapscott - will be delisted at the end of the year Overall was the worst game of football i have seen a Demons team play. We have so many issues, i really feel for the two Jack co-captains they should not be captains they should be concentrating on the early stages of their carrer and not burdened by the team. We have no leaders on the field. I do not understand why we paid 500k a year on Dawes when we so desperately need quality mid fielders, we should of picked up Koby stevens or someone like that to it least help us. I am lost for words, i have simply stopped caring and that the scary part as a bleed navy blue and red. For everyone asking for Neelds head, get a (censored) grip, Malthouse, Mathews, Sheedy or Roo's would be in the same boat. As my 83 year ol Grandpa said today "you can't ask the coach to scream at his players to pull their socks up when they have nothing to pull up". We're a woeful playing list that is the honest truth. Sellar,Watts, Dunn, Pederson, Tapscott, Garland are all playing for their careers this years. Frawley and Sylvia will leave as restricted free agents and who could blame them Thank christ i have a wedding next weekend so i won't have another piece of me die inside watching that sorry state of a football team!!!!. Our friend Colin Sylvia playing in the midfield all game, 30+ touches and 2 goals at the final siren (helping out Jonesy). Watts to have a cracking game and being the architect off the back line. The new draftees to get involved but the rest of the team to carry us!. For my old man and I to sing "it's a grand old flag" and we agree that finally we are improving!

It is so refreshing to see the president and coach at the front line driving this club in the right direction by the scruff of the neck. Although we have seen no success in his first year of coach, what Mark Neeld is doing to this club of ours is truly remarkable. We're finally a united club, football department and board. I just love his no bullish!t attitude, i can now see why Mick Malthouse loved him. He is right its bloody exciting for the club. Bring on Sunday I'm expecting the boys to unleash hell!!

I get the impression that J.Viney and J.Toumpas are now thick as thieves, if he gets roughed up Viney will be sprinting from the other side of the field!. I'm not trying to put to much on young Viney but when you have a player throwing himself at every contests and person, everyone will lift. His old man was the master of This, we have a fair bit of mongrel now, Jones, Clark, Viney, Silvia. I feel as the the wind has changed for Melbourne. Bruise free football is now dead! Lets hope the boys get angry! We'll surprise a lot of teams!!

Is Toumpas up for the big time yet fellas? I have read a few posters saying he'll need a bit of time at Casey? If he's ready then by all means put him in tho!

I believe we will beat Port at the G, Just like it took us a while to grasp Neeldy's game style, i think they will need time to adjust to Hinklers. No more excuses, lets beat the teams that we should beat, and be competitive against the teams that are above us. Jack Grimes has just stated on the Age that this year we will stand up and challenge!, i believe him. Lets knock of port gain some confidence and take it to the Bombers, they looked very slick in the final 3 qtrs last night!. Im expecting a very pumped up Melbourne team Sunday week and a big crowd to cheers the boys home. I will be screaming from my living room in Brisbane!.

I would absolutely love for every Demonlander to send through an email to the Age and say "we would be more than happy to subscribe or re-subscribe to your news paper if you got rid of her, she is the one that is driving your customers away, shes trying to be the Kyle Sandilands of the AFL football department!. If you got a few thousand people to write in, the pressure on her would be incredible. I reckon CS & CC would be keen!.

You're bang on there mate, The reality bus has a 3 year contract, Neeld has been giving three years to get this list going in the right direction. If this year is a failure, i expect there to be "Coach Neeld's to go" threads left right and centre!. Back on topic, doesn't sound promising about this kid by what that articles said. Swan and Daisey would be nice tho!

Judd has said that the Blues will be the last team he plays for. I reckon he'll hang up the boots after this year. He has always hinted that he'll retire early.

Lets just hope Neeldy, Browny and Dawesy pop over for a chat with him! I have to admit i wasn't sold on Daisey when he was drafted but i certainly am now. Our best selling point is our coach's past relationship with him and we can afford to make him one of our priority players, he won;t be inline behind Pendles,Swan etc.

Gee some posters make me laugh, we were missing 4 of our better players today (Clark, Trenners, Dawes & Blease) and everyone has all ready conceded that the season is over! Bottom of the ladder again, coach to be sacked mid season, MFC to fold etc etc etc. Dramatic does not do it justice. Lets all relax and understand that Neeld has said that we will be battling to get out of the bottom four this year. Neil Craig said we will not be competitive until 2014. Lets wait to round 1 then the real stuff starts, Carlton last night looked like a bottom four side!!!. None of us know training loads etc. I'm guessing not a lot of posters have played footy?

I feel sorry for Mark Neeld, He is under a whole lot more pressure then Bailey faced in his first 2 years. The thing i worry about was that Bailey said all the right things, never got overly excited and look how that ended for us all (put us back 7+ years). I love the character of the man. Im just hoping and praying that he can coach and pull us off the bottom of the ladder.
