  1. It was more than Richmond like, Richmond tackle in numbers and are quick to pounce on the ball carrier but our boys tackled with a ferocity like I havenā€™t seen in a long time. Geelong players were hit hard, thumped into the ground and one tackle (forget who it was, watching replay tonight) the Geelong ended up on his neck and shoulders. They didnā€™t expect what we gave them and it left them hurting.
  2. I personally think heā€™s better off playing beteen the arcs, I think that suits his skill set.
  3. We tried various combinations of three talls during the middle part of season and settled on 2, Weed only came back into the side after Hogan was injured. The Weed has blown every one with his last 3 weeks. With Lever also to come back in I think someoneā€™s going to miss.
  4. Realistically what is Hogan worth to us a year all things considered, then what would another club ie Freo possibly pay him a season. I think the gap has widened in the last 3 weeks.

Surely you donā€™t mean into defence?
  6. Absolutely awesome, not sure where to start. I need to watch the replay. Couldnā€™t be happier right now. Brayshaw was massive. The Weed.
  7. When do tickets for Geelongā€™s home final go on sale?
  8. Same but different. As some of you know I live in the bunker in Sydney, a good mate (Swans supporter) was meant to be coming down for the weekend for a catch up and we were planning on attending Swans v Giants. He canā€™t make it, if anyone based in Sydney is interested Iā€™ve got 2 tickets on the wing for tomorrow afternoons game. Cheers
  9. A more skilful side that matches their intensity for the whole game. How many of their goals in the first half came from marks inside 50 and many from opportunities created from manic forward 50 entries (McIntosh kicked his first from an easy chest mark, I stopped watching after 3/4 time) They set up well but are not unbeatable. I still think we along with the Eagles can trouble them.
  10. As long as theyā€™re consistent, some them are very blatant.
  11. Richmond players allowed to drop the ball cold with no free given to the Hawks. The pinged Poppy early....
  12. So incorrect disposal is a rule?
  13. I canā€™t help but feel that we should be playing tonight, and I think weā€™d be a massive chance to roll the Tigers if that was the case. Hawks Dees GWS Pies Cant wait.
  14. When was Hogan in a form slump this year? Leading into QB he had kicked 10 from his last two games and 31 for the season. He then kicked donuts against Collingwood and Port Adelaide, then went on to kick 3, 2 & 4 goals in his following 3 games. Thereā€™s a difference between a form slump and getting beaten by a better opponent.
  15. Just hold on a minute Brendan, the actual order of despised clubs is as follows : Richmond Geelong Collingwood / Essendon Then any other club.
  16. With Frostā€™s pace, athleticism and all round general improvement could he not play on mid size forwards as well as talls? I think your first back 6 is not only great defensively but also would generate a lot of drive from the back half. Frost was massive against the Giants. With regards to the forwards I think three is too many. TMac must be the deepest fwd.
  17. But itā€™s on a Thursday, canā€™t be.....
  18. Obviously not the way anyone wanted his career to end. I loved the way he went about it, all the best in the future B.V.
  19. Perceived value. Heā€™s a 50 goal a season player whoā€™s yet to hit his prime, heā€™s arguably the best young forward in the comp, a contested footy beast. Heā€™s easily worth 1-1.2 million a year. Three tall forwards isnā€™t sustainable IMO.
  20. The amount of money will be the end of the story IMO.
  21. For his last contract Hogan held all cards, the go home factor and his potential was there for all to see. No one is doubting he he has talent, the debate hinges on how much, and is that talent good enough to impact big games. There are two sides to this discussion, those that continually state how many goals heā€™s kicked, marks heā€™s taken and then those that point out that they are largely against sides which wonā€™t be playing next week. Those that say ā€œimagine how much we would of beaten the Eagels by if Hogan was playingā€ and those that thought his absence would actually strengthened our chances of winning because of our teams dynamics changing. Our victories this year against Eagles/GWS this year and Crows/Eagles last year are surely more than just a coincidence. Obviously that doesnā€™t mean we win every game Hoganā€™s not in the side but itā€™s something we as supporters and footy department are fully aware of. Why is it that our midfield which apparently is largely to blame when Hogan plays poorly is so instrumental in our victories when heā€™s not playing, have we seen Hoganā€™s best? For supposedly the best young forward in competition he has some big flaws in his craft. Is there any chance heā€™s not the player we all thought heā€™d be when we first drafted him. His career will be and his next contract should be determined by his performanceā€™s in big games.
  22. Come in Brad Green, he was one of my favourites.
  23. Surely Brayshaw has to be up there, on top of his clearance work heā€™s starting to kick the odd goal running into fwd 50. Really interested to see how Frostā€™s form continues as we enter the finals. Obviously in no ones top 5 players but if he can build on his current purple patch he will find himself getting a game every week. I think we could play Lever, Oscar and Frost together.
  24. You forgot to mention Oliver stands up in big games.
  25. Awesome, about bloody time. We wanted Would love to know whoā€™s driving it.
