  1. Any one for Dion Prestia first goal, nearly fell off the couch after watching his set shot last week.
  2. Difference is Crows are one of they teams that understand the need to come to play every week.
  3. If GWS lose Leon Cameron should be sacked before he gets on the plane.
  4. Also I'm not sure how he's surplus to our needs.
  5. The majority of our talent is young and wouldn't be on big contracts yet. Hogan would be on a bit, Jones massive contract should of been front loaded, Gawn and Watts, Hibbo and Melksham but now the salary cap has gone up.
  6. Why couldn't we afford him? Who's taking all the money? How much are we paying Vince?
  7. Carlton offer Rockcliff a contract and we've resigned Vince....wow
  8. Exactly, could expect to get 1 - 1-2 from the Suns plus another 500k from the AFL. No one can match that, not even Collingwood.
  9. I think it will be a full house regardless who plays.
  10. Credit where credit is due, Tigers are in a pre lim, but they are such an ordinary side. I can't bring myself to rate them, take away their pressure game and they have a lot of ordinary players. GWS need to man them up and not allow them easy territory from cheap uncontested possessions. Force them to kick to a contest every time, force them to second guess themselves. If GWS come to play with a team first mentality and get away to an early lead and can silence the crowd they in my opinion can put Richmond away. I'm tipping this as the Giants finals breakout game. Crows / Giants / Storm / Cowboys (in an upset) Crows & Storm
  11. If it was a choice between the two BB I'd keep Watts. With Watts we know what we've got, with Hogan there's a bit of what we think we've got with him and what we actually have/potential. If Hogan was to leave we could ask for and get 2 first round picks where as I think Watts worth to the team is greater than what we would get in return for him. If Hogan was to leave we should target Peter Wright.
  12. Take aside what's happened this year, yes he's had the year from hell but the knocks on his game are unrelated to what's happened this year. So if we were to discuss Jesse Hogan based on his ability next year or the year after, will he still not be able to take a pack mark, struggle to kick over 30-35 metres and will he still struggle for accuracy when having a shot on goal. Whilst watching the finals over the last 2 weeks I find my self wondering how Hogan would go, if fully fit and playing for any other side. In round 22 he kicked 6 against the Brisbane Lions, 5 of them were 10-15 metres out directly in front. But as we know in the finals the pressure reaches a new level, so far in the finals this year key forwards : Week 1 Crows v Giants Tex 1.3, Jenkins 1.1, Lynch 1.0, McGovern 1.0, Patton 0.2, Cameron 0.1, Lobb 0.1. Cats v Tigers Riowoldt 1.3, Taylor 1.1, Hawkins 1.0 Swans v Bombers Buddy 4.1, Sinclair 3.1, Reid 0.0, Danniher 3.0 Port v Eagles Dixon 3.6, Darling 3.0, Kennedy 3.0, Petrie 2.0 Week 2 Cats v Swans Hawkins 1.0, Buddy 0.3 Giants v Eagles Patton 2.2, Kennedy 1.1, Darling 1.0 In week 1 of the finals not 1 key forward in the top 4 four teams could manage more than 1 goal with many not even getting multiple shots on goal. When the bottom 4 teams of the 8 played we had 7 key forwards score multiple goals. In week 2 only Patton kicked multiple goals and he kicked 2. When the heat is on some very talented players are finding it tough. If I posted on the trading board we should pick up a key forward for 800k a year but then went on to list his weaknesses as the same as Hogans I'd be laughed at. Yes he's a great 1 on 1 contested mark, yes he's got a great tank but if I'm paying a key forward 800k plus a year I want him to be able to take a pack mark, be able to load up from outside fifty and be a reasonable shot on goal. How soon if at all could Hogan fix these issues with his game? If he's thinking of going home and Freo are offering 2 first round picks I'd probably be taking that deal and in turn using those picks to obtain established players.
  13. Don't think Richmond have the game or the skills to beat the Crows but I will give them this, they come to play just about every week, something we still fail to understand.
  14. In what has been the most even season of all time, the first two finals have been really disappointing.
  15. The grand final is in two weeks, Crows v Swans prelim.... The other side of the draw is Tigers Port Eagles Giants What a mess, what a wasted year for so many.
  16. All good mate, I meant Peter Wright. Can take a pack mark, reasonable shot on goal, can kick them from outside the arc.
