I’m pumped at the moment, I’ve got the MCG/SCG double. Flying down tomorrow morning for my first game of the year, returning Sunday afternoon. Then off to the SCG for Thursday night footy. Expecting to be 2 & 2 come Thursday night with our season back on track.

To be honest I never saw a lot of May during his time at the Suns, interested to see how he goes. -
Club culture. Look who’s left in recent years and they’re still going.

And the hawks kick another one, what’s their excuse?

Sorry, that may have read wrong. I agreed with what you wrote. I didn’t mean to imply you thought that, it was simply an extension of the narrative. Right spot, right time but struggles to influence.

Tried to impact the game with numerous tackles but ball carrier still easily able to offload. Cant fault his endeavour.

Farewell Jesse Hogan
Bombay Airconditioning replied to Devil In Disguise's topic in Melbourne Demons
Apologies, not trying build suspense, more so just massive hours at work and last nights game put me to sleep. A lot of people wouldn’t agree with his stance, he didn’t miss Hogan at all. - Asked for someone to explain to him how someone can just drink/use drugs to excess than hide behind the guise of mental health. - Why is it that when this happens the club releases a statement to the effect of “we need to get around this player and care for him” rather that telling the player that he stuffed up and made the wrong decisions. - No accountability from anymore. There was more but that was the gist, obviously he did mention that anxiety wasn’t an issue when he was playing. I heard it on Sports Tonight on Wednesday, they were replaying an interview between Blight and I think Wheatley. I know many won’t agree but I did with a lot of what he said. -

I’m a Sydney based Redleg 11 home game member. I just bought my tickets for Queens Birthday. All that was left was Level 1 goals punt rd end (which I got) and Level 1 wing, then level 4 in the bleachers. -
How does citing mental health issues enable a player to bypass a drug test? Why did the players ever agree to hair testing, was it tied into the EBA? cheers

Is it just me or wasn’t there a better photo of him from front on?

Poor form rjay, no ones trying to justify anything, merely point out what is obvious to some. Clearly Curnow has talent but the main objective of a key forward is to kick goals. Curnow like Hogan struggles at times with easy set shots. -

I thought the whole idea behind bringing May in was to play on the Josh Kennedy types. But if Kennedy lines up in the goal square then Oscar would play on him? That to me makes no sense. -

This is like Hogan all over again, lots of talent but can struggle with his set shots on goal. I wouldn’t know what his stats are but we all had plenty of opportunities to watch Carlton last season and from what I saw he missed a few that were 30-35 metres out with little angle. -

Curnow’s accuracy is a concern. -

Well if that’s the case Oscar definitely misses out then. -

First choice to play on a Josh Kennedy or similar would be May. First choice playing on a Franklin or similar would be Frost. To me Lever and Frost bring something different where as May and Oscar are similar. Unless Oscar was so far ahead of Frost talent wise I’m not sure why we would play him. A back six of Jetta May Lever Hibberd Frost Salem offers us so much not only defensively but also setting up play coming out of our back 50. -

Totally agree, I like Oscar and think he is developing nicely but after watching both of their output in the last 6-7 weeks I’d take Frost. I think he offers more because of his versatility.
