  1. Who kicked Collingwood’s goals? Dusty kicked 6. J Kelly 3 , Greene 3, Finlayson 3, Cameron 4 Cripps 4 , Kennedy 4, Ryan 3 If we get pick 2 we need to get some midfield class. Would go pick up 2 small forwards also.
  2. Rioli, Ryan, Rioli, Ryan, Ryan, Rioli, Rioli, Rioli, Ryan, Rioli, Ryan.... Stuff one small fwd, we need two.
  3. I understand your perspective on this however after seeing Green take part in the EJ Whitten it should be revisited. Green should be sought out for a role as little as two days a week for a couple of hours a day to help the players with their kicking. When Green played he was such an accurate shot on goal from multiple angles. A great player I really enjoyed watching play.
  4. I’d be targeting two small fwds Wise, when Liam Ryan and Willie Rioli are on it’s a pleasure to watch. Pace, skilful, kick goals and both can take a decent mark. Then there’s the tackling. Also if drafting as opposed to trading for them I go after three using all our late picks/rookie draft. We have to allow they all won’t make it.
  5. Great point, Petracca pick 2 : no Kelly pick 2 : yes There’s no guarantees.
  6. Nobody panic, the club just posted some feel good crap on FB. A season to own, learn from + respond to. We’re in this together. #Myheartbeatstrue Well that explains everything....who’s ground?
  7. What is our culture? Is he not in part responsible for the fact we don’t have any?
  8. Owe him what? What would he add if he stayed on? Certainly not leadership or class, we cant afford any passengers no matter how “feel good” the story is In a perfect world everyone gets to play 300 games.
  9. Are we keeping Jones purely to get him to 300 games. Anyone see Hawthorn last night....
  10. Ryan and Rioli, both so exciting to watch, both electric and skilful. We don’t need one small crumbing forward, we need two.
  11. The gist of Petracca’s meeting was meant to be about more time in the middle. What would of Brayshaw’s been about?
  12. I read a few weeks back that Brad Green sadly lost his wife. Was he an assistant at any club? He could kick straight.
  13. He’s got currency or he’s on par with Tyson, which one is it?
  14. Well....this is it Bub, we sit here and debate who we’d like to poach from other sides with little thought to our players who may want out or are other clubs radars.
  15. No this season wasn’t great for him, but last year was. He was out early last year but I liked the way he went about it upon his return. This season showed us that pre season talk means nothing, all the chanting and back slapping equated to nothing. Honestly do players other than 1st - 3rd year players really need a leadership group. Players should be independently mature and have the drive to succeed. By waiting until rd 6 we would see who is actually serious.
  16. Gawn as Captain Brayshaw as Vice As for the leadership group, I’d be waiting until about rd 6 for that.
  17. Not sure why you posted this. Some people saw Hogan as the best young key fwd in the game, a 50 goal per season fwd who was going to dominate the competition for years. Some of us saw him as the fwd that kicked all his goals against bottom 8 sides, couldn’t take a pack mark, went missing in big games and had a questionable goal kicking action. Petracca also has his fans and his critics, I’ve seen enough of him to think he’s tradable.
  18. Clearly we have different benchmarks on players output and that’s fine. My thoughts are as above.
  19. Better list? no, better midfielders, yes. As for my comparison I’m not comparing Petracca to an entire team but 3 players who play between midfield and half forward and have a continual influence on the outcome of games. There are other players he could be compared to but they were just 3 players that came to mind who have had “great years” as opposed to “good”. Viney has no worth to other teams and Brayshaw showed us last season what he can do. We’re still waiting for Petracca to arrive, if Saints didn’t need a replacement for Riewoldt he was going pick 1. I don’t think it’s unreasonable to say that he hasn’t lived up to his potential, we’re in desperate need of star players with elite skills that deliver on a consistent basis. As I have said before we either look to offload him and trade someone in or hold him and hope that he can find another level. I personally think he’s had enough time to deliver and hasn’t so my preference would be to trade him. I believe right now another club would be prepared to offer something in return.
  20. And there in lies the problem, Dunkley, Bont and McRae have had great years. How does Petracca’s compare to any of those 3? He doesn’t even come close, he can’t even dominate the weaker sides. If the majority of supporters think he’s had a great year that’s one thing, but if FD concur then we are in trouble. I’d rather Liam Ryan in our side right now.
  21. RJAY my frustration surrounding Petracca is driven by his unfulfilled potential. Yes his overall game has improved but he’s still prone to fade in and out of games and his set shots on goal are a concern. I don’t see his disposal as damaging as others do. We’re a team crying out for stars, with Petracca I see an opportunity to move him on and re roll the dice.
  22. Trac possibly....Petracca is possibly one of the overrated players in the game at the moment. Still waiting for him to play a whole game. He fits your self absorbed and uninspiring brief perfectly. I’d trade him at seasons end but the club won’t.
