Wool flashback scarf $65 AFLW 2020 Media Polo $69.99 Mens 2020 Media Polo $90 AFLW 2020 Woman’s crew jumper $74.99 Men’s 2020 Men’s training tee $85 These are just some of the items i looked at which I think are overpriced. I bought a training top for around $70 a few years ago, nice top but wasn’t worth $70 then and definitely isn’t worth $85 now. I prefer the old VFL logo and the club rarely sells any merchandise with it these days, found a scarf and they want $65. I’ve bought most of my apparel in recent years either online from other stores. This is poor form considering most of us kept our membership even though we couldn’t attend a game to help the club out. I understand the club is a business, but if you lowered the prices by a quarter or a third would you not increase your sales improving the bottom line. I earn good money but a lot of families couldn’t afford to pay these prices, maybe the club thinks these prices are acceptable due to all the recent success we’ve had.
  2. If Melksham doesn’t perform early a change needs to be made. I would personally like Hunt to remain up fwd.
  3. Surely one of our recruits over the last three years could push ANB out of our best 22.
  4. I just joined, coach : Al team : NORTHWONTWINAGAME I noticed you have some spots left, my friend would be keen to join. He’s not on Demonland and he’s a Swans supporter but other than that....
  5. Evening DeeVoted, I can’t remember last years team name, (might have been Bombay Air??)but my friend Max and I both played in the lower league last year. We’re both happy to go around again either in that league or the one above. Thanks
  6. Thanks....got it now....??‍♂??‍♂
  7. I’ve had a big weekend....who’s HB? Thanks.
  8. Not ideal, let’s wait and see how he pulls up.
  9. I was watching a Dees game in a Sydney pub the year after Scully moved to the Giants. Got into a conversation with someone who walked in halfway through the game, after several minutes of discussing the Dees they revealed they were a family member of Tom’s. I made some fence sitting comment along the lines of “it wouldn’t of been as easy decision to make blah blah blah” and was told that Tom didn’t didn’t appreciate Stynes calling him in for a chat and pushing heavily the fact that he had cancer and was dying. They thought it could of been handled differently whilst still delivering the same message.
  10. I hate Richmond and Cotchin with a passion, I used to be really critical of Cotchin’s game. He’s come a long way in the last four to five years and is a very capable player.
  11. I’d like to think Hunt can take his game to another level.
  12. Was only a matter of time. Is there no one at the club or in his family that can teach him the value of taking responsibility for your own actions. Weak.
  13. I agree but what I find amusing is whilst scrolling through social media this morning the first thing I see is.... FB (9 News) : Greater Brisbane entering three day lockdown to prevent the spread of the UK virus strain. Insta (Melbourne AFLW) : A photo of the three Irish female players with the caption “En route to Aus”.
  14. I’m assuming this is purely a rumour because it would be very disappointing if true. As good as Petracca’s 2020 season was (and yes he’s only going to get better) he was every bit a classic under performer up until then.
  15. Oliver is out of contract end next season, Petracca the next. The timing of other players contracts will allow the club to offer them both good contracts. My concern is losing one of them from an inability of the team to perform or an from a rival club offer like the one with Carlton and Zac Williams.
  16. I love the Weid and think he will become a great player for us, but I had to laugh watching his highlights....if the Ben Brown highlights were anything to go by some posters would have us believe that that was just more staging for frees and lots of double grabs.
  17. A lot of discussion around TMac’s contract and how that may affect if at all the signing of Ben Brown this year and the re signing of Oliver next year and Petracca the year after. We also have Gawn, Salem, the Weid and Luke Jackson out of contract next year. I don’t see it as an issue, Gawn turns 30 next year and whilst still playing some good footy has had his payday, also as captain would be well aware of the importance of keeping the core talent together. Jackson is still finding his feet, for me Salem and the Weid are the interesting ones. But we also have to look at players like Lever and Melksham who both come out of contact in 2022, Lever will be 26 and will obviously play on but has cleaned up on his current contract so one would hope his new contract will be more modest, Melksham will be done. Harmes and Viney are on 4 and 5 years respectively but I think (guessing) their contracts won’t be crippling us. May’s got three years to run on big money and worth every cent. Langdon and Tomlinson are the interesting ones for me, can’t remember what they’re reportedly on. And as some have already alludes to, was missing out on Isaac Smith at three years a good thing. In short I think TMac will be traded, but should he stay I think we can still keep everyone happy.
  18. I was telling my mates the same thing, both games we should have won quite easily but we didn’t.... Looking at our draw asks based on current form I think it’s possible to win the rest of our home and away matches.
  19. I would put money on Geelong, Collingwood and Richmond to beat them if the finals were next week.
  20. Would like to see pressure applied similar to that Collingwood on Thursday night.
  21. In part I agree with what your saying but then I think with we’re at, we’re we’ve been at that every week is a test.
  22. I didn’t end up applying, I wanted to take my fiancĂ© who has been to a few games at the G with me on a guest pass, when we’ve flown down in recent years. I understand the need for social distancing but 200 tickets for each club....The ground has capacity to hold a lot more fans, a lost opportunity.
  23. I’m a Sydney based member, I received an email from the club early in the week to go into a ballot to get a ticket/s to today’s game. I live 15 minutes from the ground so I thought I would apply, only to find out its one ticket per member. I understand the one ticket per member during the finals but this is a game against Gold Coast being played at Giants stadium. Not sure whether this an AFL or club decision but it’s a poor one.
  24. Did anyone else see the photo of the lockdown towers this morning on social media. The handmade signs with the word “help” were replaced with words “sack Goodwin”. Full marks to whoever came up with that. Bloody hilarious.
