The calumny of the AFL's priority pick policy
Great point, Petracca pick 2 : no Kelly pick 2 : yes Thereâs no guarantees.

Official Delistings?
Nobody panic, the club just posted some feel good crap on FB. A season to own, learn from + respond to. Weâre in this together. #Myheartbeatstrue Well that explains everything....whoâs ground?
-
Official Delistings?
What is our culture? Is he not in part responsible for the fact we donât have any?
-
Official Delistings?
Owe him what? What would he add if he stayed on? Certainly not leadership or class, we cant afford any passengers no matter how âfeel goodâ the story is In a perfect world everyone gets to play 300 games.

Official Delistings?
Are we keeping Jones purely to get him to 300 games. Anyone see Hawthorn last night....

Round 23 Non MFC Games
Ryan and Rioli, both so exciting to watch, both electric and skilful. We donât need one small crumbing forward, we need two.

Angus Brayshaw to Fremantle Rumours
The gist of Petraccaâs meeting was meant to be about more time in the middle. What would of Brayshawâs been about?
-
Welcome to Demonland - Alan Richardson
I read a few weeks back that Brad Green sadly lost his wife. Was he an assistant at any club? He could kick straight.

Angus Brayshaw to Fremantle Rumours
Heâs got currency or heâs on par with Tyson, which one is it?
-
Angus Brayshaw to Fremantle Rumours
Well....this is it Bub, we sit here and debate who weâd like to poach from other sides with little thought to our players who may want out or are other clubs radars.

No this season wasnât great for him, but last year was. He was out early last year but I liked the way he went about it upon his return. This season showed us that pre season talk means nothing, all the chanting and back slapping equated to nothing. Honestly do players other than 1st - 3rd year players really need a leadership group. Players should be independently mature and have the drive to succeed. By waiting until rd 6 we would see who is actually serious.

Angus Brayshaw to Fremantle Rumours
Iâd be disappointed if we offered him up.

Gawn as Captain Brayshaw as Vice As for the leadership group, Iâd be waiting until about rd 6 for that.

Not sure why you posted this. Some people saw Hogan as the best young key fwd in the game, a 50 goal per season fwd who was going to dominate the competition for years. Some of us saw him as the fwd that kicked all his goals against bottom 8 sides, couldnât take a pack mark, went missing in big games and had a questionable goal kicking action. Petracca also has his fans and his critics, Iâve seen enough of him to think heâs tradable.

Clearly we have different benchmarks on players output and thatâs fine. My thoughts are as above.

Better list? no, better midfielders, yes. As for my comparison Iâm not comparing Petracca to an entire team but 3 players who play between midfield and half forward and have a continual influence on the outcome of games. There are other players he could be compared to but they were just 3 players that came to mind who have had âgreat yearsâ as opposed to âgoodâ. Viney has no worth to other teams and Brayshaw showed us last season what he can do. Weâre still waiting for Petracca to arrive, if Saints didnât need a replacement for Riewoldt he was going pick 1. I donât think itâs unreasonable to say that he hasnât lived up to his potential, weâre in desperate need of star players with elite skills that deliver on a consistent basis. As I have said before we either look to offload him and trade someone in or hold him and hope that he can find another level. I personally think heâs had enough time to deliver and hasnât so my preference would be to trade him. I believe right now another club would be prepared to offer something in return.

And there in lies the problem, Dunkley, Bont and McRae have had great years. How does Petraccaâs compare to any of those 3? He doesnât even come close, he canât even dominate the weaker sides. If the majority of supporters think heâs had a great year thatâs one thing, but if FD concur then we are in trouble. Iâd rather Liam Ryan in our side right now.

The 2019 Draft and Trade Targets Thread
RJAY my frustration surrounding Petracca is driven by his unfulfilled potential. Yes his overall game has improved but heâs still prone to fade in and out of games and his set shots on goal are a concern. I donât see his disposal as damaging as others do. Weâre a team crying out for stars, with Petracca I see an opportunity to move him on and re roll the dice.

Trac possibly....Petracca is possibly one of the overrated players in the game at the moment. Still waiting for him to play a whole game. He fits your self absorbed and uninspiring brief perfectly. Iâd trade him at seasons end but the club wonât.

Angus Brayshaw is a leader.- WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - KYSAIAH KROPINYERI PICKETT
Can this be moved please to the trading board. Cheers.- The 2019 Draft and Trade Targets Thread
When people are discussing potential list changes the same names are put fwd, JKH, Stretch, ANB, Spargo, Wagner, Omac etc. Petracca and Hibberd seem to escape scrutiny. Hibberd turns 30 next year (last year of contract) so would be of no interest to any of the other clubs. The Suns would be chasing others in that age group but in the Luke Hodge mould. We lack star power, when we drafted Petracca I was so excited thinking he would become a hybrid of Dangerfield and Robbie Grey. He is yet to deliver on his dominance as a junior and regularly goes missing for periods in games. I personally donât think heâll ever become the player we need him to. We are faced with the Watts / Hogan scenario, what have we learnt....We held Watts 1-2 years too long and got minimal return. We got rid off Hogan at exactly the right time and got May in return. Some argued we should got more and whilst this year hasnât been great for May most were happy we were able to land him when we did. The time to move on Petracca is now, package him up with next years first round pick or trade for a mid to late first round and package that with next years first round pick and go after some real midfield class. Letâs go after Kelly, Cogniglio or Whitfield. Offer up some big money and make something happen. Another year of waiting for Petraccaâs to reach his potential doesnât cut it anymore.- Round 22 Non MFC Games
His marking is also a highlight, very talented.- Will you renew your membership in 2020?
Next year will by my 15th consecutive as a Redleg. My automatic renewal will continue to remain active. - New Captain
