I found out about Roo's on BNF night last year. They don't announce things over the PA, you just gotta keep your ears peeled and talk to the right people.

I think we should be targeting and essendon player and an Adelaide player. They need to buy back into the first round and we've got some nice picks to play with. My hunch is we are going after Sloane again which would give the toumpas/trengove rumours some substance. Sure Adelaide would hate to lose him but 2 years out of the first round will have ramifications down the track.

North could field 2 less players and still win by 10 goals. If we brought the effort that we had in the first half of the year we would be right in this but as usual the players have given up again in the last qtr of the year as we always do. It's amazing that happens when so many careers are on the line.

I'd let him goto Freo if he wished. Of course i'd expect Fyfe in return.

He's just another one of our players who people think would star in a good team. He will be Jack Watts wherever he goes. I have no fear of him making us pay.

This makes trade week very very interesting. There's going to massive changes to this list with players we dont' expect going out the door IMO.

I've said it before, Roos has done as much as he can do with this list. Most of our starting 18 would be depth (at best) at an afl level club. 14 players will be gone this year.

We drafted him hoping for the next Nick Riewoldt. It takes more than just talent to get to that level. Courage, Heart, Not throwing in the towel. Jack has none of these qualities. We just have to move on and accept it was another mistake in drafting. From what i've heard if we are offered a suitable trade he is gone.

The few occasions he was being beaten one on one against bennell were really poor. I think he actually has no confidence in himself in those situations and dreads it more about losing the contest again rather than being soft. It's all psychological with Watts. The attention he recieves from his own supporters and outside of the club is unprecedented. IMO he is as gone as Frawley. It really can't be any fun being Jack Watts. The best possible outcome for both parties is that he leaves. It's just beyond repair in my eyes, and if one of grimes of trengove is traded it will be the nail in the coffin of the most spectacular era of poor drafting and development.

Yep. I heard some huge news tonight about how aggressive we are going to go about our list management this off season. There will be a lot of room created on the list and if the right price is offered to the club for our growing list of stalled high draft picks they are gone. An elite midfielder is our main target. I think it's telling that Roos remarked on the fact that a lot of clubs didn't believe we were really willing to part with pick 2 last year. It will be different this time I believe.
