This year is feeling eerily like Danihers last season. We had just been run off our feet in a final against freo and he got the team to shred some weight and become a more running side losing our contested edge. We completely fell apart and Neale fell on his sword. Goodwin can see where the game is headed but the list is built to play a different game style and it’s just not working. I think we can all see it’s going to have the same result. This will be Goodwins last year as our coach.

I reckon if Lever is coming back in Petty is going to the forward line .

The game plan Goody has implemented this pre season does not seem conducive to winning games.

It’s hard to tell what the actual game plan is if we aren’t actually winning contest .

Our team this week will be significantly stronger . If we have a similar result it will be a deesaster.

I think we would be playing way below expectation.

I’m not up for a scorched earth rebuild. Kozzy will go and that will get us back into the first round This year and possibly and extra pick in the first Round next year. Hate to hear myself say it but banish Melksham and McDonald to VFL, they aren’t the future. You keep trac and Oliver. They can be our Pendles and Sidebottom. But move them out of the prime spots more often to allow the younger brigade to have more centre bounce. Give Jefferson and Adams as much opportunity as possible in the 1’s to fast track their development.

So based on training we are playing against Melbourne Victory this weekend?

The hallmark of that 2021-2023 team was we were always in the game because we would fight all the way to the end. Yesterday was alarming how we seemingly gave up against North of all teams in that last quarter. There’s still too much talent in this team for results like this, you have to question the hunger to dig deep when the backs are against the wall at the moment. That’s not fitness. That’s being motivated, and inspired. A few more efforts like this and unfortunately for Goody, it’s not going to end well for him. It’s classic “Not playing for the coach” areas.

The good thing is we should be pretty fresh after resting all of the players in the 4th quarter.

I think Victoria is crying out for a smaller boutique stadium around 30k.

Really excited to see all our debutants but it’s probably tempered my expectations of getting the result.

Team success has been sparse but damn we’ve been blessed with some good ruckmen over the last 30 years .

They were doing some marking high ball one on ones at start of training and he owned Jeffo so assuming they must have been taking score. re: Kosi, a melb admin guy walked past me on the phone saying “nah just personal reasons” assuming was taking a call about it. Langford kicked some beauty’s in match sim. Salem and Fritsch ultra competitive in end of training goal kicking practice. Must have had something riding on it. I was chasing my kids around mostly, so there ends my ordinary training report. Go dees.

Maybe they aren’t offering a lot of coin? Just the lure of coming home.
