Melbourne v Fremantle @ Fremantle Oval - 5th March, 2015
Pipefitter replied to Bleeds_Red_&_Blue's topic in Melbourne Demons
Mate. Let's keep expectations realistic. We should be aiming for 6-8 coin toss victories this season. -
I still believe the majority of fans will stand by them. Basically since the start of this the bombers have been on a PR campaign to play the victim. All the witty hashtags like #standbyhird #backourboys #keepfighting They're using their fans undying loyalty to paint themselves in a better light and frankly it disgusts me. Sure, stand by your club, but don't stand by these people who have brought your club to it's knees.

My hawks mate was already calling him Failey.

From what i can remember Cousins was specifically targeted for hair testing and this is not the standard of drug testing in the AFL.
-
The hair testing was something Ben Cousins wen't through, most of the tests are urine. Your standard "party" drugs which players would use such as cocaine etc are 2-3 days max in a urine test.
-
Trust me, It's rife and has been for years. The drugs only stay in the system for 2 or 3 days, and when you only get tested a handful of times a year, the odds are pretty good not to get busted.

Coke is def performance enhancing. More in the bedroom than the footy field i would have thought though.
-
This just gets better and better. I wonder how long people can possibly still #standbyhird

I was there too. Those goals were rippers, something a big man shouldn't be able to do. There is something about him that is worth persisting. -
The "Boycott" is just another part of the Essendon Spin machine. Wasn't their PR manager the only Essendon person at the James Hird verdict? That speaks volumes.

Humpday goes back to be being Whiteboard Wednesday. Shudddddder.

PJ is just warming the seat for Schwabs grand return.

From my recollection he played really well in that game him and Rivers were shifted forward, but that's the only game up forward i can remember him having a real effect.

RE: Finals. When Roosy took over we were basically at Expansion club level of performance. Imagine how silly GWS would have sounded by saying they would be playing finals their second year. In wrestling terms under PJ we have now entered the Reality Era.

I'm pretty sure all the ruck coaches in the AFL are part time.

Link please! I need to see this for myself.

Missing out on Hannath wasn't a disaster. Watching Stef Martin dominate last year was.
-
Better yet, the club should just buy the royal on punt road. Match day experience.

Who is shaping as a surprise packet for Melbourne in 2015?

The Cats administration have got Rivers permission and may now approach Danger.

Interestingly in one of the twitter wars Clark had with a dees supporter he said something like "Do you ever think that maybe they didn't want me to stay?" Love to know the full story one day.
