  1. The current board won't even be in place to even be challenged at the end of the year. The AFL seen how unethical and in house we were and put steps in place to fix the problem - the board. PJ is the solution and heads will roll..
  2. I don't think Viney would blow a fuse the club picking Rodan and Brynes with nothing picks. GIven our lack of experience it would be hard to argue we didn't need experienced heads. We only made one blunder in the draft, which was not taking Ollie Wines, that is the only glaring thing we got wrong. Blind Freddy could see we needed ball getters anyway. I'd like to hear the inside scoop on this one, it's the second time in a few months I've heard Viney and Neeld don't get along.
  3. I am more interested in Viney disagreeing with Neeld over recruiting. If we ever find out that Todd wanted Ollie at 4, It would be shattering. Ollie Wines is exactly what this club needs, Jack Viney is our only potential A grader going forward. Another one would've helped. Hogan will be one at least, even still, we haven't had an A grader since I can't remember and we could've had 3 in one draft. Call it too early to call, but blind freddy can see Ollie, Jack, Hogan, Wines and O'Meara are all picks of that last draft and all look special. Crouch before the years out will also be up there.
  4. I do see where you are coming from now in regards to where you think our list is now - compared to when Roos came into Sydney. But, at the same time, we've seen how much a coach can change things in a short space of time with Hinkley at Port Adelaide. So I don't see why Roos couldn't do the same if not better at Melbourne, we aren't that far off Port in terms of talent.
  5. I agree that our players won't improve under the current regime.
  6. Paul Roos built Sydney into the club that they are today, whilst also getting them to 2 grand finals, in which they won one. He left them with a culture rivalled only by arguably the best team to ever play the game - certainly one of the most consistant, in Geelong. Over a period of the past 10 years, Sydney are up there with Geelong for consistancy and Roos built this, it's his the culture that he built. It's a culture still going strong, still at the top. So how much time would I give a bloke who built Sydney and turned them into one of the most consistant clubs in the past decade? I'd give him as much time as he needs, because the job will get done, the rewards will be worth the pain, unlike at the moment, we just see pain, no reward in sight.
  7. Jackson was great speaking before the game yesterday, he appears to be relishing the challenge and spoke like a man who is staying. He identified the inexperience across the board, he said all the right things in regards to Neeld - as to not put any pressure on Neeld. On face value at least, he seemed very forthcoming, at ease and sure of himself and the direction the club needs to go down. I think we are in good hands with Jackson as a CEO. And, I don't think Neeld will see out May.
  8. History tells us that Paul Roos is more likely to succeed - than fail. Roos would improve this club dramatically, it's what he does.
  9. Yes we play the Malthouse plan when we should be playing the Geelong plan. But it starts from the top, look at Geelong and Sydney - both run well on and off field. We are run poorly both on and off field, it's a massive difference. Hopefully Jackson can help fix this. Pretty sure the AFL want to see us operating more like Port, than the current rabble we are.
  10. Nothing wrong with that article, he is just another fed up Demons supporter and rightfully so. What we are copping this year shouldn't be acceptable.
  11. I think the Sun will have a big win. We won't cover the loss of Grimes, he's been exceptional this year.
  12. Neeld will be chasing bigtime for Daisy though, his coaching future at our club depends on results. So there is no doubt he'll be going for a big name. Don't think Daisy will leave Collingwood and don't think Neeld will still be here to try and lure him either.
  13. For that coin, we could entice a younger player from GWS or GC.
  14. What I find absolutely baffling is how Evans can come out and say that the EFC have proof that their players won't benefit from substances this year. And I say substances, because they have admitted to using the banned fat slimming drug - which is a banned substance. So Evans says EFC won't benefit and he has proof, yet now we here in the Ziggy report, that they have no paper work of their program. Does Evans version of no proof mean - we got rid of the paper work and now their is no evidence? How can the EFC and AFL be 100% the club aren't benefitting this year, when experts in the field tell a different tale? The residual benefits are so great that some experts have claimed that WADA should lengthen the 2 year ban on Olympic athletes. Yet we are supposed to believe that EFC aren't benefitting in less than one year? Hopefully the AFL clear this up.. Dank says he injected Hird 40 times, Hird says he injected him twice. Who has more to lose by lying?
  15. Yeah Fat Tony highlights the needs for a more flexible game plan, as our current game plan is based on Malthouse model 2011. Clearly, the game of AFL football has evolved since 2011, as a club, we need to evolve our game plan to adapt with the current environment. Our list simply isn't strong enough to go against the grain and keep a rigid game plan - like Collinwood done in 2010-11. Players like Trengove and Moloney became too defensive under Neeld, now we see what Moloney can do under Voss. We see Trengove stagnate to the point of VFL - where he should be at the moment, lets not pretend otherwise. The kids talent should have him no where near VFL, like Moloney if Trengove left our club - we would be a VERY good player. Fat Tony also highlights another Neeld mistake, which is signing up Jamar and McKenzie for 3 years. Jamar was lucky to be on our list and McKenzie makes Josh Thurgood look like Shaun Burgoyne.
  16. http://www.heraldsun.com.au/news/former-afl-star-liam-jurrah-banned-from-driving-for-two-years/story-e6frf7jo-1226637057195 Just an update on Demonlands favorite son.
  17. Actually it would be justice if the AFL flicked us a priority and we thrown it at the GWS. Bit of pay back for Scully. Considering Grimes and Clark are now out for 2 months, we won't win many more games. We should get a priority pick at the end of the year.
  18. Yep, in a heart beat. Whatever it takes.. I'd be willing to trade pick 2 and Watts to get it done.
  19. As a football player, Magner is so far of McKenzie it's embarrassing for our club to have him sitting in the VFL. I dare say that Magner's problem is that he can actually play football, the MFC don't like fooballers, just ask Ollie Wines.
  20. Walls would run Watts all day in the ruck to show him how tough footy can be. At least he'd have to actually give a contest.
  21. If Neeld got a contract extension, we'd lose a lot of fans nation wide. The guy is beyond average.... I had my young blokes Demons up until this year, then I said you can support who you want. I don't expect them to put up with this side, I will - but they shouldn't have to. Hopefully Jackson can get some appointments right and we can get back on track.
  22. I liked your bit on Kent, fancy us picking a bloke who can play football - instead of an athlete.
