The Petracca v McCartin debate reprised
So glad when Saints chose McCartin rather than Petracca. Dees were elated. Petracca has only played one season after his knee injury so he is only a rookie really. Huge upside. Hopefully he is trained to attack when it presents (like his goal in the 4th v Dockers).

2017 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch
Luke Davies-Uniake is my very early call. Reminds me of Jack Ziebell. Big strong athletic mid. From the Stingrays. Should be available at pick 12-15.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - DECLAN KEILTY
i had a chat to Dec at Maroochydore. Feels super lucky to get the chance and was working very hard through the pre season. He said it was amazing all the support he has received. He will play mainly at Casey again but will cover if any of the Mcdonald bros goes down.

Yes. Agree he deserves a chance and should get some action in the pre season games. The alignment had a great 2016.

Delistings
now... Dawes - trade / delist either Dunn or Garland - trade / retain Newton - delist JKH - trade / retain Michie (rookie) - delist Max King (rookie) - delist Wagner and White to stay on rookie list. Aim for Hibberd, 1-2 DFAs and maximum (minimum) of 3 draft picks.

Delistings
Yes this proves there is no loyalty or justice. I thought Jack Grimes may have been given one more year or be given a chance to be traded away for a late draft choice. It is sad to see him delisted after such a promising start to his career. His disposal was just lacking and not up to the faster pace that is required in todays AFL.

Delistings
Matt Jones has run and spread but his kicking is poor over 25 metres and he misses too many tackles (like Howe). At 29 he is not getting any better. Very good VFL player.

Delistings
agree... ANB will be a player. Give him another 12 months development.
-
Delistings

Almost aboard. Pick 26 gets the deal done.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - JOEL SMITH
I hope we upgrade Joel to the regular rookie list next year. His potential is huge. I see him as a rebounding half back.

Giants get academy and can choose and match to get them Demons align with Casey, develop kids and then its a lottery

Still a place for experience on the list. If Lamumba is fit and healthy, he can be valuable around September action. You need experience under pressure. Vince, Jonesy, Lamumba provide that.

Delistings
IMO...Five to go off main list and two rookies Terlich Grimes (persecution) Dawes /Pedersen M.Jones / M.White Newton Michie(r) Max King (r) Wagner to be upgraded. Add Melksham. Grab Hibberd for pick 27 swap

The youngest most inexperienced side
No excuses. We were very very poor against the Blues.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - MICHAEL HIBBERD
Hibberd is worth about $400,000 at best per season. If he's after $700k, then go to the Suns... they will have spare room once O'Meara goes

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - MICHAEL HIBBERD
Bombers will at least want MFCs 2nd round pick around #30. We should grab Hibberd and the Bombers 4th round around # 58.

Billy Stretch Appreciation Thread
Great goal in the last quarter. Hawks in front. Demons mucking around. Billy runs fast. Gets the handball. Burst through and BANG. Straight through. Demons back in front and go on with the job. Great work Billy Stretch. Run hard. Kick it.

Mark Basics [edit: resurrected from 2013]
POOR DECISION MAKING POOR SKILLS POOR VISION POOR SETUPS nothing has changed. The talent on the list masks the above. Today versus the Suns demonstrated how little MFC had progressed. It was the same v Crows, Saints, Eagles games in the last month where we were the better team but lost due to our skills, vision and decisions.

Josh Jenkins
He was never leaving Adelaide
- The Incredible Hulk - Jesse Hogan

Jay Kennedy-Harris
Yes tough call. Gets another shot in 2017 but would be under pressure to remain on the list.
