  1. Richmond’s injury ravaged year??? They were in 8th battling at 7-6 with about 4-5 key players out. Higgins and Rance were out for the year. Sure two important players but able to cover especially Higgins as a small forward. But otherwise they had a healthy list. Once Riewoldt Cotchin and Houli were back, it was like 2017. Winning the last 9 games and now two finals My point. Ffs keep a healthy list and it’s possibly the most important rule for success. Not guaranteed but a big help. Perhaps that’s why I am strangely really appreciating the filfthy Pies run. They have been hit hard by injury but have marched on. Beams Cox Langdon Greenwood De Goey are all best 18 types but are missing. Can they still win it?
  2. It’s not by accident
  3. Agreed. It’s crucial. We have had a fair pluses but many minuses over the years.
  4. I was expecting a rant. Basic commentary compared with the trade site
  5. Yes that’s what really hurts big time. Omcd is a LIABILITY
  6. Jesse was much loved. It’s a fair call but wildly optimistic. It will depend on his family and his heart ... and his body. I worry that he is injury prone and the footy world may not ever see him at his very very best.
  7. Yes Green is Top 5. I was only talking about the available players. Green is GWS bound. Cooper Stephens is the one who could be the James Worpel in this years draft.
  8. I agree we have to keep on thinking about forward targets. McDonald and Weid aren’t enough. We will need another tall. Riccardi would suit as a 50ish draft pick. Young Emerson Jeka (great name) from Western Jets is one to watch. Saw him play v Casey Demons this year and whilst he only got it a few times, he presented as a strong agile key forward.
  9. Chargers will be hard to beat. Two absolute guns and Bianco is a top 25 chance. Also Macrae and Ugle-Hagen as youngsters that are highly rated in 2020 draft class.
  10. Excellent post and good comparison. Plenty of haters wanted Howe gone after one indifferent year. He has been a star at magpie land
  11. Yes pick 5. Rowell Anderson Ash and Young are top 4. Brodie Kemp is the smoky. Could be best of the batch but knee injury killed his year after starring at the champs.
  12. And he shut down big forwards that usually kill us. Walker, Hawkins, Brown, Franklin, Kennedy. We would be MAD to let him go. Sign him up now.
  13. The Lyon King should be seen and not heard
  14. This is like reminiscing about the ex girlfriend. Let it go. Jack wants to move on. MFC needs to move on
  15. Probably look to trade Stretch back to Adelaide. Anyone of interest in return? Riley Knight - small forward. Paul Seedsman - midfield runner.
  16. We have agreement. It’s a definite noooooooo
  17. Should go to the Suns. Decent player but at 30, his best is behind him.
  18. Some guys are so talented that you can overlook some off field worries. Like Dustin Martin and Toby Greene. Sam Murray would be a worry. Alas it’s a No.
  19. Nooooooooooooo way he is soft and plays for free kicks.
  20. after they beat us up every time for about 8-9 years, I’d hardly start to think about bragging rights
  21. Toby Greene not getting 4 weeks for eye gouging shows AFL bias towards their “children” clubs. Suns are almost definitely going to get a priority pick. It’s where that is up for debate. Either before any other pick (the new pick 1) or after pick 10 (new pick 11) or end of 1st round (new pick 19). They probably need to somehow retain their existing kids and not just a draft handout.
  22. Tim Smith retired. It’s been tough as he had signs of being very handy. Young Jake Riccardi from Werribee might be worth a look if we are worried about our key forward stocks. It’s tmcd and Weid and ... perhaps Petty (appears a natural CHB though)
