Coates Talent League 2024
Ah-Mu is a talent but likely will go in the top 40 or indeed top 20 in 2025 draft. He has the talent. Another lost NGA opportunity for the Dees most likely.

Brownlow votes 2024 progress thread
Dees after 4 games should again have a few players up in the votes. I’ll try to update weekly or periodic. v Swans Likely no Dees players get votes only JV7 could be considered for a vote v Dogs Likely votes M.Gawn 3 C.Oliver 2 S.May 1 Trac might get a 1 vote v Hawks Likely votes C.Petracca 3 M.Gawn 2 B.Fritsch 1 v Port M.Gawn 3. ANB 1 (Butters will probably get the two votes). Trac might squeeze a 1 vote but unlikely. so after 4 rounds likely Gawn to have between 5-7 votes, Trac 3-5 votes and Clarry 2-3 votes

PREGAME: Rd 04 vs Adelaide
Crows will be Desparate with a capital D they will want the win and Dees must be on guard from the start AFL taking the fizz … two interstate games only with 5 day break FFS Dees to show them the middle digit changes ? yes Woey to start and Billings as sub, otherwise no change May? I would trust the club and medical group. But it’s a big risk and I’d like to keep him to be ready for the Lions clash

The ANB Appreciation Thread
Great to see his game tonight 👏👏👏👏 His two goals were so important. Thats what he needs to do to make his HFF role so effective. He was like an extra mid tonight.

CASEY: Rd 02 vs Footscray
Casey showed more today and fought the game out. Considering the lack of players available, it was a solid effort. Unavailable. Laurie. Tomlinson. Injured. Hunter, Melksham, McAdam, Bowey, Spargo, May, Disco Turner 👏👏👏AMW. Verrell. Tholstrup 👏👏Adams. Fullarton 👏Kynan Brown , Sestan 🤞🤔Jefferson showed more and still 12 months of development needed 🎯Schache is very solid at this level. Great effort today from White, Hustwaite and Connolly.

Sam Weideman
Not a good sign. Bombers prefer Langford, Stringer, Harrison Jones to compete. Sam on the outer again.

CASEY: Rd 02 vs Footscray
Looks like a good player with his run from half back.

CASEY: Rd 02 vs Footscray
At least 2 players like Laurie and Tomlinson won’t play. It’s going to be a boys v men type of game. Bulldogs to win by 50+ unfortunately. Too many senior Dees players unavailable

Jack Viney 200 Games
Brave. Loyal. Tough. Strong. Determined. That’s our JV7. Congratulations JV on 200 games. He stands up as one of very best. Premiership player. Multiple top 3 in B&F shows his consistency. May be play on to get close to 300. God speed.

The ANB Appreciation Thread
Yes ANB can be a barometer sometimes for the team. Important link man across the half forward line. Playing a good role in the last 2 games. He is using his endurance as a weapon in the team. I’d like to see him kick more goals as he gets chances and aim for 25-30 at least across the season (like he did in 2018). Output of 7 to 10 goals a year is actually well below par for his role.

2020 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch
Swans in 2020 probably did the best out of any club in this draft. JUH of course was a gift for the bulldogs.

Laurie Extends for 2 More Years
I haven’t seen anything yet to show me that he will be part of our midfield group for the next few years. Yes he has some skills but fumbles too much and lacks real pace to clear away from opponents. Even at Casey last week, he was serviceable but really didn’t standout. Obviously the club sees more unfulfilled talent in him.
