  1. So it’s 19 teams. Final 8. 11 miss out. Constant bye allocated. More travel. Tassie has population of 500,000. Hobart population 240,000. Expect small crowds of 18,000-20,000 post the initial mania. More impacted draft with 12 of 1st 18 draftee players allocated to picks for the Devils in “2025”. Free agents to Devils.
  2. Yes first votes this year for Brayshaw. He’s had a moderate to quiet start to 2023. But he proved his quality this week.
  3. 7 out of 9 in my tips this week. Missed Giants and Pies !!! Can you believe it. Got Suns and Power as upsets. Ps. Swans to beat Pies this week 👍🏻
  4. Danger game this week. Whilst without Miller, Suns are otherwise at full strength and are looking for a big scalp. I would be putting time into Noah Anderson. Seriously is close to A grade now imv. Dees have the stars to prevail but can’t take this one lightly
  5. 6 Melksham 5 White 4 Harmes 3 Tomlinson 2 Joel Smith 1 Turner
  6. Exciting news. HappyHappyHappy ❤️🏆💙🏆❤️🏆💙 Kozzzzzy 💙🏆❤️🏆💙🏆❤️
  7. Cats definitely going to be very hard to beat. Scoring power and plenty of options. Hawkins and Cameron are immense. Bombers effective with skills through the inside through the corridor. Cats defence is elite and (alert to Goody), if you go wide and restrict options, they can shut you down. Dees skills and one grab footy will be tested. Cats, Pies, Lions and Demons are the best 4 in my view.
  8. In. Petty out. Hibbo (if injury worry) or Schache Aside from Salem and potentially either BBB/Tmcd, we are looking like a best 22 outfit
  9. He really should play. Other subs with a quarter or less of footy are constantly playing in the VFL when their game is the following day. Casey would welcome him in given it’s a tough clash v undefeated box hill hawks. Wait and see today.
  10. Curnow is a star. Clearly alongside Cameron as the best key forward in todays game. Even the Blues chose McKay ahead of him but they are blessed to have both Mckay and Curnow. The 2015 AFL Draft Round One 1 Carlton Jacob Weitering 2 Brisbane Josh Schache 3 Sydney Callum Mills 4 Melbourne Clayton Oliver 5 Essendon Darcy Parish 6 Essendon Aaron Francis 7 GWS Jacob Hopper 8 Gold Coast Callum Ah Chee 9 Melbourne Sam Weideman 10 Carlton Harry McKay 11 Adelaide Wayne Milera 12 Carlton Charlie Curnow
  11. Hibbo played a solid game. Had some important intercepts and defensive clearances. 88% disposal efficiency. Played 3/4 only and still not imv 100%.
  12. Yes KC now one of the first names picked. Has had a very good 2023 so far and do deserved. Works hard at the pressure and at the contest. Love his goalkicking. Spargo will be back at Casey next week. It might help him to get some midfield time and work on his front of pack crumbing. It’s tough but the standard is high and there’s competition for spots.
  13. 30,000. Small profit in those numbers. Two home games within 5 days. Plenty showed up on Anzac Eve. Very few Kangas fans given their situation, think they’ve zoned out !!
  14. Goody says : Our forward line mix is tallied about but spread of goalkicker and looking at our mix. How we go inside 50 is important and happy with how that looks. Defensive side of the game we thought we needed to tidy up. How we defend has been a ficus. How we create turnovers. Though we’d like the last few minutes back. Petty likely straight back in. He’s a key player. At either end.
  15. 6 Petracca 5 Oliver 4 Brayshaw 3 Chandler 2 Pickett 1 Grundy Apologies to Hibbo and to 7 or 8 others No passengers and even Schache was ok
  16. Excellent win Definite percentage booster but … only the Dees would allow 3 soft goals in the last 3 minutes to reduce margin from 108 to 90 points!!!
  17. Clarkson has destroyed Dees when he coached the Hawks. Roos have beaten us up many many times. Time to be ruthless and get a 100 point win. or are we just too comfortable now after 2021. Smash them !!!!
  18. Yes both very strong line ups. Will be a close one inv. Agree with comments re George Grey. He is often one of the best and has developed really nicely over the past 2 years. Would be first back in if a space is available. They must rate Max Gregory (or junior Bowey as I call him) to have him in before other more seasoned teammates. Showed good traits with the footy this year.
  19. Surely Laurie or Harmes are the sub this week. Really keen to see Zane Duursma step up for this one.
  20. I hope he kicks 4 goals !!
  21. Likely end of year retirements: Hibberd, Melksham Non-renewals: Dunstan. D.Smith (r) Trades if requested: Tomlinson. currently listed free agents : Jordon, Neal Bullen. Of course really hoping Kozzzzy signs on for another 3-4 years. 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
  22. Petty collided with teammate Tom Sparrow in the final minutes of Monday night’s Anzac Day Eve game.
  23. Tough game this week. But the Casey team should be fired up after last weeks loss. Assume Laurie as sub again. Potentially: D.Smith. Tomlinson. Adams. J.Smith D.Turner *Buntine Woey jnr Dunstan *Steele Howes Tmcd Melksham Anw Bbb Jefferson *Bell Harmes *Munro Int. Sestan. *Grey *Valentine *Edwards *Z.Duursma
  24. Injury List: Round 7 Kye Turner - Groin | test Joel Smith - Thumb | test Charlie Spargo - Concussion | 1 Week Harrison Petty - concussion- 1-2 Weeks Christian Salem - Knee | 2 - 3 Weeks Will Verrall - Pelvis | 7-8 Weeks
