  1. Mcadam needs to get 100% right. He could be the wildcard addition later in the season.
  2. A warning. Pendlebury. Hawkins. Itโ€™s the name that determines the penalty. McPhuggleman or Kosinski or other such no name player would get suspended for one week for Pendles action or a fine of a few grand for Hawkins misdemeanor.
  3. I have to admit itโ€™s pleasing to see some of the new young players shine. Not only is Caleb Windsor showing his pace and skill is a big addition , but Blake Howes (pick 40 in 2021 and now just game 4) and Judd Mcvee (rookie pick and now in his 2nd senior year ) are showing great signs. Some always dismiss later draft picks or rookie picks because they historically have lower success rates. But thereโ€™s always diamonds to be found sometimes in players who unbelievably drift down the draft board or get over looked until given a chance. In this round for example , for the Blues, Jack Carroll (pick 41, 2021 draft) has been finally given his chance and looks comfortable to start to secure a more regular spot. Luke Ryan (pick 66, 2017) is now one of the first picked at Freo and a key defensive player. Nic Martin was overlooked in 3 drafts then got his chance at 21yo (SSP 2022) in the weekend was BOG for the bombers, whilst Riley Bonner delisted by the Power was probably one of the Saints best, using his run and skill off half back. Finally yesterday James Worpel (pick 45, 2017) was BOG even in the Hawks loss and just knows how to win and use the footy. Yes itโ€™s nice to get top 10 picks, but thereโ€™s always diamonds to be found as well in other picks.
  4. Windsor has been super impressive. Great wheels. Uses his pace to accelerate over first 5 metres. Ball use is also very composed most of the time. His goal v Power was impressive and so important. Ran between opponents and kicked from 50. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘He also knows how to tackle even when bigger bodies involved. Definitely been a welcome addition.
  5. I think a Tholstrup debut could be a possibility. Not sure Chin will be right given short turnaround.
  6. Agree that Mitch Szybkowski had a good debut for Casey. He has a good build as an inside mid and kicks over 50 metres easily.
  7. AFL MRO MADNESS The only other charge from Saturday's games was Melbourne defender Trent Rivers copping a fine for a sling tackle on Port Adelaide's Connor Rozee. Rivers has been fined $3750, which can be reduced to $2500 with an early plea. SHALL WE START THE CROWD FUNDING !?!? It was a ridiculous decision at the time. Whistle blow amongst screaming crowd noise and 0.0008seconds later, Riv tackles (soft) Butters who flops to the ground. Reversal. Port free 20 metres out. Goal. It was wrong. It was a gift to port. This fine just accelerates the confusion. Ps. Butters hits the ground with his shoulder.
  8. So many stars at the Dragons again. 6-7 players are certainly to be drafted this year. Can see them winning the comp again this year. Stacked midfield stars. One to watch was Taj Hotton who has developed and one for JT to add to the list. Got footy smarts and added more running power to push into the midfield.
  9. JV7. 200 games. ๐Ÿ’™โค๏ธ๐Ÿ’™โค๏ธ Fierce. Ferocious. Brave. Tough. Leader. Warrior. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘Demon Spirit.
  10. Ah-Mu is a talent but likely will go in the top 40 or indeed top 20 in 2025 draft. He has the talent. Another lost NGA opportunity for the Dees most likely.
  11. Dees after 4 games should again have a few players up in the votes. Iโ€™ll try to update weekly or periodic. v Swans Likely no Dees players get votes only JV7 could be considered for a vote v Dogs Likely votes M.Gawn 3 C.Oliver 2 S.May 1 Trac might get a 1 vote v Hawks Likely votes C.Petracca 3 M.Gawn 2 B.Fritsch 1 v Port M.Gawn 3. ANB 1 (Butters will probably get the two votes). Trac might squeeze a 1 vote but unlikely. so after 4 rounds likely Gawn to have between 5-7 votes, Trac 3-5 votes and Clarry 2-3 votes
  12. Crows will be Desparate with a capital D they will want the win and Dees must be on guard from the start AFL taking the fizz โ€ฆ two interstate games only with 5 day break FFS Dees to show them the middle digit changes ? yes Woey to start and Billings as sub, otherwise no change May? I would trust the club and medical group. But itโ€™s a big risk and Iโ€™d like to keep him to be ready for the Lions clash
