  1. Pretty brave move dropping Jeffy i reckon, i thought he would really fire up on the big stage.
  2. as crazy as it sounds i think he'll play, Jack is that tough and knows this is must win!
  3. He definitely played a great game, for me though the biggest difference i saw was just how clean he was with the ball, on a wet day that really stood out with everyone else fumbling and Dom being a one touch class player he just looked a level above everyone else on the ground
  4. I think you could mount a strong argument that with Frawley in the side we might have won an extra 4-5 games in the last two years, doubt cloke would have kicked 7 straight on chip last queens birthday for example.
  5. Speaking of, he's due back in the VFL this week isn't he?
  6. I really like Jayden Hunt and i think even if those three were all in and in form he'd still be in the side.
  7. Plus as far as Tacklers go, he has a very good method, he's one you never see with clumsy high tackles or easily broken tackles, which is a very handy skill for an inside midfielder.
  8. To be fair to Chip, he did play very well in the finals and absolutely smashed Kennedy in the GF and in my opinion would have been a worthy Norm smith medalist if he had won it.
  9. I just think Hogans manager is smart, lets be honest he is going to be easily the highest paid player at the MFC, and might be close to the highest paid player in the comp on his next contract, he would be silly not to milk every dollar he could for it, especially given he's already had a serious injury, this could set him up for life. I firmly believe both Hogan and Tmac will stay, but while i think when push comes to shove the club will pay Hogan what he asks for i think they'll only retain TMAC at the price they believe he is worth and won't break the bank, if he wants to chase coin elsewhere i think they'd be happy to let him. I see TMAC as the Levi casbault of the backline, he is a great mark, reads the ball well and has huge talent but his execution of basic skills lets him down and is imo the only thing holding him back from consistently being an AA level player.
  10. i don't really believe the talk about how much players are asking for and whatever, i mean context is a wonderful thing sometimes, mostly i think the numbers are probably a long way off, but an example could be Tom is a long way down the path to re-signing but if someone was to offer that much money he'd have a look at the offer but nothing less? if anyone follows what i'm saying.
  11. I was the same with Frawley to be honest, thought he was gone a fair way out, having said that i thought Howe would stay so 50/50 isn't bad?
  12. He's off to the Brisbane Lions, says he misses being belted by 100 points every week.
  13. isn't this the bloke who said you could take it to the bank that Jesse's next contract would be in Perth?
  14. I think we'll beat the Pies, Suns, Saints, Power, Dockers and Blues, being the optimistic fan i am. giving us 11 wins for the year and i'd say that's a bloody good result for the club.
  15. Absolutely! the changes are a real concern considering we're playing a new style, i'd have expected Roosy to be really keen to pick a group and persist for a few weeks. I do quite like Frost as a defender and i think eventually he will settle in down back. Our defense is just going to be significantly weaker until the players get used to the new plan, it's exposed to easily when we make bad turnovers and the players can't get back and set up in time.
  16. I'd like to see Michie come back in, i thought he was quite solid in the AFL side before being a little unlucky to be dropped In: Michie, Kennedy Out: Harmes, Frost
  17. I would have Oscar in before Garland at this point, Garlo has been extremely underwhelming this year. Dunn i think is the best option but he's now injured and probably wouldn't be picked anyway. So it's persist with oscar and Tmac or give someone like Dawes or Pederson a run in defense.
  18. I would change Port to a 50/50 game as well but otherwise i think you've nailed it.
  19. Collingwood are in a world of pain again and i expect us to keep that going with a 10 goal win and Jeremy Howe looking like a tool.
  20. In his under age years when he was fit and playing he did rotate between CHF and CHB a little at times. i personally see him as a better forward though.
  21. Interesting fun fact, I know people keep speaking about his speed and that's very important in the modern game and i agree, but they're ignoring his huge strength, his endurance. Trenners played very limited game time on the weekend and still got to close to the most contests of anyone on the ground, when he gets his touch back he'll start having more of an impact on those and becoming a very good role player for us. I still firmly believe Jack will become a very good B grade midfielder for us, we just need him to consistently get to contests and use his class and skills to try and win us the ball.
  22. I thought it was just a bit of a brain fart to be honest and wasn't to concerned, every footballer has at least one of those in their career. Jeffy is a bit down on form but he's a very dangerous player and he is still putting defensive pressure on, i expect him to really make up for it this weekend against the filth
  23. The other one is Trengove, while he looks a lot better than he did to me, i'm still not sure he has the leg speed to play as anything other than an inside mid or hard running wingman in the modern game, his aeorobic ability showed on the weekend, despite limited game time he still got to more contests than most of the 100% game time players.
  24. Amazing the lottery that is our MRP, if it wasn't so depressing it'd be funny. I reckon Jesse will have that one in the memory banks for when we play the Hawks in a few weeks time.
  25. Good point, forgot about the Knuckle, point stands i think though that he would have been very handy in those conditions.
