  1. I would change Port to a 50/50 game as well but otherwise i think you've nailed it.
  2. Collingwood are in a world of pain again and i expect us to keep that going with a 10 goal win and Jeremy Howe looking like a tool.
  3. In his under age years when he was fit and playing he did rotate between CHF and CHB a little at times. i personally see him as a better forward though.
  4. Interesting fun fact, I know people keep speaking about his speed and that's very important in the modern game and i agree, but they're ignoring his huge strength, his endurance. Trenners played very limited game time on the weekend and still got to close to the most contests of anyone on the ground, when he gets his touch back he'll start having more of an impact on those and becoming a very good role player for us. I still firmly believe Jack will become a very good B grade midfielder for us, we just need him to consistently get to contests and use his class and skills to try and win us the ball.
  5. I thought it was just a bit of a brain fart to be honest and wasn't to concerned, every footballer has at least one of those in their career. Jeffy is a bit down on form but he's a very dangerous player and he is still putting defensive pressure on, i expect him to really make up for it this weekend against the filth
  6. The other one is Trengove, while he looks a lot better than he did to me, i'm still not sure he has the leg speed to play as anything other than an inside mid or hard running wingman in the modern game, his aeorobic ability showed on the weekend, despite limited game time he still got to more contests than most of the 100% game time players.
  7. Amazing the lottery that is our MRP, if it wasn't so depressing it'd be funny. I reckon Jesse will have that one in the memory banks for when we play the Hawks in a few weeks time.
  8. Good point, forgot about the Knuckle, point stands i think though that he would have been very handy in those conditions.
  9. I honestly believe if Jack Viney didn't have his little brain fade and was able to play we would have won that game, conditions like that the games best contested ball player would have been very handy! good lesson for the young man.
  10. I assumed it would be part of the AFL's dodgey little give the bombers a leg up plan despite them sending the comps integrity into the dirt. I just think it's absolutely ridiculous that one of the most exciting young sides in the comp gets one friday night game in the last two seasons, yet a team of VFL players is already having their second this year and Carlton who won the spoon last year has had a heap as well.
  11. Anyone got some pets they need to sign up? lets get this 40k
  12. Weiderman reminds me so much of Tom Lynch from the Suns in how he attacks the ball, i really think he, Hogan, Watts, Petracca, Garlett and co will become a nightmare for opposition teams
  13. Not really related to this topic but how can an undermanned Essendon side get more friday night games than the MFC..?
  14. I think the bigger thing is with us the " Handover" has happened, in terms of our side now belongs to Gawn, Hogan, Viney, Tyson and co and the older boys are really playing supporting roles, that hasn't happened at the Saints, they're still relying on the older boys to carry the team on the most part and that's why we're much closer to a flag than they are.
  15. Daniher is an absolute inspiration to everyone and personifies the word courage! so many people in his situation would have given up but he just refuses to stop fighting.
  16. I really hope Grimesy gets a gig at another club next season, i firmly believe the club has already decided to move him on and it's up to him to change our mind, but he's been consistently performing at VFL level and can't get a game so that paints a bad picture for him. It's such a shame because he's a fantastic bloke and bleeds red and blue as much as anyone at the club,
  17. Before his injury he was fairly consistent with his scoring, so i reckon he's a great value pick
  18. Not a bad way to remind Trenners about the step up from VFL to AFL level by chucking him straight in the guts against someone like Sam Mitchell.
  19. Not sure he'd have much if any trade value, but perhaps he might appeal to a side in contention looking to bolster it's defensive stocks, i reckon the Doggies wouldn't mind him.
  20. Especially when you've got Lynden Dunn who i consider to be a very handy role player in defense, who could be in the side and offering more than Oscar does, i really don't understand playing young key position players when you don't have to, let him develop a body and work with the coaches and come in when he's ready.
  21. Weiderman at full back, i'm sure he won't play there i just find it really interesting that players are consistently named in positions they're never going to play in.
  22. Grimes papers have been stamped i think, which is unfortunate because he's all heart but unfortunately a limited footballer, real shame because he's a fantastic bloke and bleeds red and blue.
  23. He's clearly done something they don't like. absolutely shocked he's not in the team to be honest, i thought for sure they'd want one of Garland or Dunn playing for some experience down back. lot resting on the shoulders of TMAC and Jetta
  24. Inspirational, that's the only word that sums Jack up. good onya mate!
  25. I think they'd be quite reluctant to rest Tyson given Viney is already out, but otherwise i think he definitely needs a week off.
