  1. Any info regarding length and terms of the deal? i assume it'll be pretty massive?
  2. I would even offer only a third rounder, the bloke is 27 and has been out of the AFL system entirely for 12 months.. that's gotta lower value surely.
  3. None basically, and that's the point, that first pick they have should be used on young talent to kick start a re-build. I don't believe they're in a position they should chase an injury prone prestia with such a large investment. Personally i think they need to look at trading some stars, getting some good draft picks over the next 2-3 years and re-building the list. if someone offered a first rounder for Deledio they'd have to take it surely.
  4. I think Macca will continue to fill that role from the Bench, so i wouldn't be against another experienced assistant coming on board, i'd look very closely at Leigh Tudor, very experienced and been a huge part of some very successful teams.
  5. I think if we want to be a ruthless club we need to make these sorts of decisions, why give up a pick when we don't have to?
  6. The biggest issue is it's not about who they recruit, clearly they don't care so long as it's a big name and it looks like they haven't become irrelevant. very much in denial over at punt road.
  7. 2017 first rounder and 2016 second rounder plus a player i'd say not sure which player but it would be a massive deal if it happened
  8. If they trade a top 10 pick for Prestia it will go down as one of the worst decisions they've made in recent history, right up there with re-signing dimma. GC will want a player anyways but the way they overrate their players i can't see them offering anyone good enough to get it done
  9. Lots to play out here, if dimma is sacked they'll be going to the draft i reckon
  10. Oh definitely but it's different at the same time, he's on an AFL list playing footy for a living, got to make the most of that it's not like he's working in a factory that's about to close down that he doesn't give a [censored] about
  11. As he should, he's getting paid bloody good money as are just about all AFL players.
  12. The hard thing is the only role i can see Trengove playing well given his speed is inside midfielder so he's competing with Jones, Oliver, Tyson, Viney, Brayshaw, Petracca Vince and so on. I suspect another club would give him a shot as a rookie if we did cut him.
  13. I think it's just the wording, i spoke to Macca at training a while back and he said he wasn't sure exactly how it would look but Goodwin would be doing a lot of the senior coaching duties in the back end of the year, they definitely had a conversation about Goodwin controlling things from the box which Goody declined, no need to rush things.
  14. I'm not sure posters appreciate how much Goody is doing this year, 1. Roosy spoke to Goody about him taking the box and Roosy on the bench, goody declined. 2. Goodwin takes 90% of trainings and meetings now, he is doing all the recruiting and list management stuff he's effectively the senior coach. Roosy is really just the match day coach and a senior assistant at the minute and that's why i am really comfy with where we're at with Goody
  15. I reckon given where the list is at we will retain one of Trenners or Grimes, i suspect it'll be Trengove, maybe as a rookie
  16. Agree'd it's a huge risk, they've been totally disconnected from the system for 12 months. Surely that alone drops the value, if Hibberd is normally worth a second rounder, surely that drops his value again, he's missed a year of training with elite coaches and that AFL structure, that's gotta be a huge set back.
  17. I'd think Hibberd coming on board means Salem and Melksham play wing more so which is a huge plus better skills all over the ground
  18. Yeah, updates would be hugely appreciated.
  19. Biggest weakness is he has no right foot and teams target this in his game, but he can be extremely damaging if given time and space.
  20. I'd do T'mac, O'mac and our second rounder for Hurley and Hibberd. Doddario would want Hogan, Brayshaw, Petracca, our 2017 first rounder and Goodwin as coach
  21. We desperately need both Mcdonalds going forward in my opinion.
  22. Rance won't leave Richmond, he's just signed a long term deal, no doubt he's frustrated by how they're going but he aint going anywhere.
  23. Just does exactly what the coaches tell him to do, doesn't sook if he gets dropped just goes back, works on what he's told and it reflects in his game. he's our Issac Smith
  24. I think that's absolutely why we chased him, because we knew we could back him in for three years, even if it looked ugly we'd have a platform to build from when he left, It's why i find it interesting the comparision to the Saints, it's like comparing the Lions to say the Tigers, the Saints had a lot of finals performers, we had nothing, basically no culture, no leadership, no talent coming through, 2 wins at 58% possibly the worst side of all time. withing three years to be looking at between 8-10 wins and one of the best young lists in the game is an amazing turn around, and to be honest, i think we're ahead of what our win-loss suggests, we have dropped multiple games we should have won.
  25. I reckon if we're going to RJAY it'll be this week games against Port, Blues and Cats i reckon will be seen as very winnable ( i say cats because we beat them last year and we seem to be good at beating the sides we've beaten and they're pretty inconsistent )
