I would simply because I don't think vince is good enough to play that role. One year as a player and moving into an assistant coach role. Woudl cost us nothing and his experience and composure could be handy.

I honestly think the players thought there was little chance west coast could knock off the crows ( as I did as well) and that acted as a safety net in their minds and they didn't bring the effort needed early. I agree though. My expectations are finals and pushing for top 4. If we aren't in the conversation for top 4 going into the final two rounds it's probably a failed season based on our talent and the likely addition of jake lever. I think injuries probably cost us 2-3 wins this year and mental weakness probably the same again. We were only genuinely beaten a handful of times which is a positive. Min 2018 we should have no fear of any team at all.

I'd consider Aaron hall who I think In a better side with some real development coaches could be a seriously good outside mid. Hed probably cost us our second rounder which is happily part with to land him. We clearly lack a key back, and speed and kicking skills through the middle

No i certainly don't. But I also don't buy the idea that Oliver isn't damaging enough, of course he's going to become a lot more damaging as he kicks more but his inside game is absolutely elite. I think he's definitely top 40 and probably just missing the team itself

I think he's damaging because he can take a ball that 99% of the competition would allow to be locked in or couldn't hope to get clear and not only get it clear but get it to our advantage. He's unbelievable in close and clearly elite in this area. On this basis I think he should be in the side for what he is, an inside beast because no other inside mid has matched him as that role player

He has a lot of time in close and he's strong over the ball but his kicking hasn't improved. I actually think he's genuinely okay kicking wise but he makes awful decisions at times. I wouldn't be against dangling him as trade bait. If we could get a good outside midfielder in return it might be a win-win

I'm concerned we are overpaying lever based on the offers being reported. I'd put tom McDonald, dom Tyson and Christian Salem and jack watts on the trade table. The first two can't kick. And the later two aren't ruthless enough. We need to put serious work into the mentally fragile minds at the club. If you can't bring basic effort week to week and beat bottom sides we'll go absolutely nowhere. 2017 is officially a failure and we have no one to blame but ourselves
