Just from a different perspective, I'm thinking that both Trac and Trenners are both under some form of management to get them to the line in tip top fettle. The coaching administration at Melbourne would be monitoring their progress very carefully and would be negligent to do otherwise.

We are learning the "craft" as above, but that doesn't necessarily mean that we will be allowed to get away with it. Coaches would be saying "we have got to be the best and sneakiest at cheating." At the moment to offset against any drawbacks they have like a slight slowing down now, they can actually dictate the rules to the umps who in my opinion are not only intimidated by Hawthorn, but they seem to be able to almost have a ongoing soliloquy with them. If I was on the Board of Umpiring I would be inclined to stop, replay and give that game a jolly good going over to just find out just who is in charge.

Two things. A.... Without Melbourne players at Hawthorn they would probably still be last. Watts is a highly articulated AFL Football cogitator and stratagist and demonstrates that every time he is interviewed. I would think based on his present trajectory they would do worse than to include him in future plans at the Club. B....Hawthorn are not getting any more ever. Russell is not relevant.........

A bloke today who would have felt very satisfied would be Kennedy. How solid was his game. Played his guts out and he showed it. Tough and uncompromising and looked so happy at the finish. A real teammate.
