  1. Yep he was up there Sunday. For me it was two things. Firstly seems to blend in with the team, with position, linking and speed. secondly really calm reliable kicking for goal, great asset on forward line
  2. Just a slight permeation of AFL bespoke "umps if Brissie are close enough for a sniff at any stage in the game give them a little fillip" yesterday. They weren't!!! Can imagine "The Girlie Man" talk at AFL Headquarters this morning. "Blah Blah Blah but they weren't even close enough anyway".
  3. South Aussies will probably stay in, loving the contest but not sure on the outs. Twin towers good enough for me and Trengove in too. But aren't we a lucky bunch at the moment.....
  4. Geelong were outstandingly hopeless yesterday, they must have backed themselves.Second to the contest non existent tackling and no favours from umps which i hardly noticed.
  5. Two big games from Bernie and Jonesy today will get the job done. Hogan to hover on and off the ball to keep them looking around.and the ex pie 5footer to kick 5.
  6. One way door at B'land and it ain't in....
  7. Yea i know, but it gets in my "craw". The older i get the more confrontational i become apparently.
  8. And then they have so much talent to spare, they just come along and take a struggling Club's best prospect. Make no bones about it. They deserve nothing but scorn... One would think that someone in the Media would have enough backbone to write about this duopoly they have with the AFL.
  9. I have got a Creek full of crocodiles about 200 mtrs away from where we live called Barrett's Creek. Haven't seen him yet.
  10. Little bit of concern again re mouthguards, do they put them in at certain times? Just going by the photos. One of our sons down at Launceston got one of his broken at uni training without a mouthguard, so it's quite easy to do
  11. On a more sour note I'm thinking that there is a lot more water to go under the bridge with Hogan, and his overall value to MFC, and it is all about joining the dots. I have no inside information other than just the way things are proceeding.
  12. Yep, one hotshot gone in a forward line full of bigheads.....
  13. You can imagine this Club, Essendon, would be like Maxwell Smart's "Cone of Silence" joining the Joint( Hah, play on word) and Knights Templar expulsion trying to get out.
  14. Teach Bonjovi to keep his proboscis out...
  15. Yep really agree with this post . There must be a lot of blokes going around teaching players and Footscray is full of them how to fall over then get up with the free and drill a pin point pass. The name Beveridge comes to mind. There must be other blokes going around teaching blokes how to continually block others, fooling dumb-enuff umpires. People should remember how a lot of these blokes fathers used to play for free kicks the same way. The TV Fox coverage was like listening to a couple of old Muppets.
  16. Which chooks can lay the most golden eggs. It's a lay down misere.
  17. Really good summation of events a lot better than I could do, and like a lot of us we stand together on this issue without division.
  18. Not hard to figure that Bock is compliant. ASADA says ok. Investigations ongoing. My speculation is as good as anybody else's. Essendon's Brownlow situation is a bloody disgrace and a stain that needs to be cleansed. Particularly for some of the past fairest players of all time. If I was Essendon I would seriously think about having ONE sorry day during each season voluntarily and ongoing until they win another Flag perhaps.... I would think that would be a good gesture going forward as they say and widely accepted in the Football Community.
  19. My mother had a chook house in Linton and she told me the story about how one night she watching the front gate of the chook house and a fox came in through the back and took the second best layer in the farmyard.....
