  1. 1. Oliver. Continues to blow me away and he's played just 50 games. 2. Harmes' continued development as a tagger. Did a massive job last night. 3. Others may disagree..but I thought Frost was fantastic when he went onto Hawkins. 4. ( i know its only supposed to be three...but I need to add that into back that team, that SHOULD have smashed Geelong, comes HIbberd, Viney and next year Lever and , cross fingers, Gaff. We're getting v close to being elite)
  2. Somewhat recovered today. An analogy came to me today. Feel like I somehow landed a date with Scarlett Johansen and somehow managed to impress her enough to get into her into the bedroom...but then was tragically unable to get it up. Failed at the final hurdle. Deep down I feel proud of the boys...Geelong at Geelong in a match of the round and realistically bar their stupid accuracy its a game we should have won. I think thats now 3 times in a row I feel like they were lucky to win. But we are just soooo close to being the genuine article.
  3. I thought Frost was really good when he went to him. If hed gone earlier might be different but he did show something Frosty,
  4. that might have been an assumption...as many have made on here. In fact maybe that "news" came right off this site. Lets wait til we hear from the club. Im liking Rustys info until proven otherwise.
  5. Happy for any good news Rusty....but how reliable is your source? 2-3 would be a massive relief if you're right. Could be we get Hunt, Viney, Hibberd back all around the same time. And yes I know Hunt was playing in the Magoos when injured but cant help but feel how much we're missing him atm.
  6. On the positive IF we can somehow scrape/ fluke/ edge our way into the finals. We get Viney and hibberd bk fresh. But .... I agree. Club is cursed. Memories of 1995 when Schwartz, tingay, Charles , Lyon, , jakovich all had virtually career ending injuries. We’re going to have to b lucky now. Feel like we’re gonna be one win short. Can’t help but see the High irony if Gawn, having the best season fr the club I can almost remember post flower, may have in part cost us a finals spot in round 1.
  7. Viney, Hibberd and Lever FMD. Probably 3 of our most important 10 out for most of the massive games we have coming up to get to the finals. We're officially hard up against it now. Multiple Injuries happening now at the most crucial time of the season. The footy gods hate us Im sure. Jeez he's a big out. So...smith comes in for Hibberd and probably Tyson comes in also. Sigh. We're going backwards.
  8. agreed! averaging 3 goals a game now
  9. we're def not looking like the better side. Their attacking thrusts look far faster and more dangerous. Sadly, I think we're going down here. We could lose this by 6 goals
  10. doggies just like the saints moving it by hand fast and opening us up in the back half. Already been discussed how sides can do this to us. Saints openly talked about it after the game...SURELY they have something up their sleeve?????
  11. missing Viney for games against Adelaide and Geelong is really tough. Makes winning today even more important. Im no doctor to know how long a "stress" takes to heal. But, presuming he got to it early, does anyone know anything about this kind of thing? As much as I hate to say it it may even be best to just rest him til 2019. His not a player we can lose long term through mismanagement. As I said Im no doctor but Im also curious about just how much heart ache can we actually bear until we explode or catch fire?
  12. [censored] me. this kicking is reminding me of the Geelong game last year......lets hope its not a repeat.
  13. I loved his presser. He gave it to the payers in private ( as he should have) and backed them up in the press (as he should have). Neeld threw the players under the bus publicly and look how that turned out. Its a young group they dont need even more public scrutiny than they are already getting. Goodwin is all class imo. We're all hurting...but imo he's handling it well with the press at least.
  14. Roos is gone and aint never coming back so forget that. Goodwin has some excellent traits and the players apparantly love him, but he's still learning. We see him now, perhpas for the first time in his career, under real heat. Lets see how he goes and how the team performs. And....All of those who were complaining about the acquisition of lever can now see just how pivotal a recruit he was. Sucks we lost him. No easy cover for us.
  15. Good point. And when we were flying that was at the base of it. However...adversity can also bring unity. Identifying bad habits and moving on them collectively can bring positivity. I was pleased to hear goody lost his sh@t tbh. This season and his coaching credentials are right on a knifes edge Some of the footage was just so damning ....and Lewis was at the centre of a lot of it. He gets one one more chance to continue his career imo. His sloppy , turnover kicking and lack lustre defending makes me wonder if he cares enough about us. If he does I want to see it!
  16. If we lose against the doggies the week after this one then 2018 might be the year that the Darwin game demonstratably costs us a finals spot.
  17. Agreed. But they may want to give Petty a couple of games to settle. Its the only thing standing in his way I think. But imo Petty really didnt look ready, so I think we need to pull the trigger and gibe him a go.
  18. FFS this makes me angry. if you look at where that punch is aimed its right on clarrys solar plexus. Which, if youve ever been punched there is both painful and a bit debilitating. Honestly..how the f@uck does he get away with that??! Imagine if it were the other way around. Im really sick of the shite this club and especially this player puts up with. Wish SOMEONE in this, What often seems like an overly polite, [censored] weak club would speak up for us. This is the trouble with taking AFL money I suppose.
  19. stay at home Deemented...this game is too important! ?
  20. he just cant influence contests physically. Its never been his strength I suppose but in todays game, with forward pressure being so important...his days may be numbered. Im a fan of his tbh I just think the game may have passed him by.
  21. well, at the very least, I think she galvanised us behind him.
  22. wow that footage. Neeld happy, Tapscott, Magner, Blease, Mckenzie, Garland up forward. Im so glad we can just be in the future now and not have to live thorugh all the years that have passed again. A happy night in a dark era.
  23. Thought the boys gave evrything last night....tough to lose SUCH a winnable game. The biggest question in my mind after QB and last night is where the frik has Jesse gone. Utterly without impact in the two biggest games this year. He Fumbled, dropped chest marks, ran past contests and didnt get back into them similar to JW and misses an easy snap in his only chance. He neither creates a target down forward atm nor is any good on the ground.....but he runs a lot. He's turning int a flat track bully. Super disapointed in the player he's becoming in big games.
