  1. Agree Bingo, and, if we can fly higher than the Hawks, Swans, Magpies, Crows or even the Eagles we will be sprinkling seeds of happiness all around town.
  2. Just read this - very similar thoughts.
  3. I am more confused now than before. On that footage alone, and, based on the players likely to be in contention at 9, the two that stood out to me weren't genuine mids. 1. Lennon: Very clean, very smart and good size. But, is he capable being a mid, or, is he suited to a roaming HFF role? 2. Koldashnij: This kid could be anything. Reads the play well, has height, pace and a killer boot. Do we need a skinny sweeper, or, can he develop an engine and beef up to play in the midfield? Freeman is interesting. I love his intent and he clearance work. Unfortunately, he wasn't as clean as I thought, even when he had a little time.....this may come - Confused - The Vault Junction Oval
  4. Good eyes Webber, would have been better if he played for West Coast.
  5. Wooooo hooooo Michie welcome See how high he flys
  6. Dew has basically turned down a secured senior coaching role in 3 years, unusual if there isn't anything at the end of the rainbow. I wonder if this is part of Sydney's succession plan by which Longmire returns to Vic, and, maybe take over from Roos?
  7. If that is his girlfriend the man has done very well,he should stay in Sydney and do whatever the hell she tells him to do. WHATEVER. Although, I am now more intrigued than ever, Dew is obviously a brilliant communicator and strategist.....get him to Melbourne now!
  8. Freo by 5 points, goal after the siren.
  9. He's no dill Roos. The shift from 0% to a 50% public voicing is significant, to me, he is all but a Dee. I suspect they are drip feeding the media and public perception out of respect to NC and further negotiations with AFL. This is smart as it seems he is warming to the decision rather than an handshake agreement being in place for some time. Finally, there isn't enough bronze in the world for the statue PJ deserves if he is successful with Roos, Walsh and a key assistant. This really could be the awakening of a sleeping giant.
  10. Saturday September 28. Paul Roos to parachute into the MCG on Grand Final Day carrying the Premiership Cup. He will be wearing a MFC blazer, smoking a pipe and have Cameron Ling sitting on his lap.
  11. MFC - In comparison to EFC of late, looking like a well oiled machine since 1964.
  12. I too have defended Watts on countless occasions over the years, the words "He'll come good, just give him some time" have come out of my mouth every Monday morning for the past 5 years. But, not today. If Watts played on Watts (bare with me here) they would both be happy to be stateless because they'd break even without taking a risk, getting to a contest or getting tackled. Imagine the nice 'chit chat' after the game too.....ohhh I'm going to vomit. After recent events he must go, and, the compensation is secondary, it the statement. If Bartlett and co want to be professional, ruthless and improve the culture of the club, well here is 'exhibit A' staring them in the face.
  13. I am sure there would be plenty of us willing to 'help out' if he had a hand issue. All the best Jesse. #whateverittakessotospeak
  14. Home made chicken schnitzel, rice and salad. Peach crumble heated up then vanilla ice cream on top. Mans not a robot.
  15. 5 minutes into the second quarter of the Pies and GWS game, Jeremy Cameron has scored more than us today.
  16. Two interesting observations; 1) The added bulk of the Essendon players and 2) Devon Smith is shrinking
  17. Will kick his 100th goal from outside 50, on the run, with both his right and left foot at once.
  18. Pretty sure BP is an opposition analyst at Carlton, we shall see if a pattern emerges.
  19. I have complete confidence they're on the right path, they have Barry Prendergast after all.
  20. I really like Tom's determination, a country boy who traveled approx 3 hours to training demonstrates this. Having said that, he really does need to work on his kicking, opposition teams know who can and can't kick. If you are identified as a player who can't kick, you will be 'zoned offed' so you are given the ball by a team mate to increase the chance of a turnover. In addition, you also become predictable when taking a mark in congestion and looking to handball backwards often eg Jamar. Tom's grit and appetite should definitely be bottled. edit: spelling
  21. Come on DN9, we are looking for a football coach not a future son-in-law.
  22. Naturally we would all like to see Jimmy rack up 30 possessions, take 7 bounces along the members and kick a Manassa like goal. Realistically, he is a kid in a team lacking leadership and quality, hell, our experienced players can’t do what is expected regularly, so please give the kid some time. What I noticed was a smart, inexperienced kid. He got to contests, he tackled and on more than one occasion he filled a hole in the Tigers forward 50. We are a success starved club who has seemingly been rebuilding for a long time with little value from high draft picks. We all want to see results and we all want to see some high draft picks become stars. Let’s not place too high expectations too early on 18 year olds, let’s first demand it and receive it from our older experienced players and the rest will follow. On return from injury, I would like to see Jimmy play at Casey until he has 3, 20 possession games in succession. This will provide more confidence to demand the ball when he comes back into the seniors. Good luck Jimmy.
  23. Second hand; Apparently David Schwartz spoke at a luncheon on Saturday prior to a Northern Football League (aka Diamond Valley) game. I wasn't in attendance, however, I have been told that he said if we lost to the Suns, Neeld would not be at the club by Tuesday. Schwartz was also asked about the likelihood of Roos replacing Neeld, he went on to say the club had spoken to Roos, however, they believe Roos is heading to the Gold Coast - not Brisbane - the Gold Coast. So let’s hope like hell the Suns form continues so Guy McKenna’s contract must be extended.
  24. There might be a nice desk on eBay tomorrow morning.
