I agree with everything you've said, we share the same view 100%. However, based on the description provided, not sure Ratugolea qualifies, unlike Hawkins.

Cats might be looking to make a play for Cameron with Kelly’s compensation. Think they’ve tried before... Hawkins does perform well against us, and, being a Cat through and through, it would surprise. If I’m right, and I’m usually not, I don’t think I’d like it.

This, along with speculation of Langdon and Tomlinson makes me happy. Not so much these specific players, from the outside, it seems we have cash, and, keen to bring in some troops. Unless of course, the reason we have this cash is on the back of a gun leaving.

I think Christian was ok this year, without being great, however, still down on overall projected development. What I noticed as the year went on was his intent. He was taking on players, shrugging tackles, and, his overall energy and aggression at the contest was noticeably different. Previously he would float around the contest like a basketballer, so, i'm hoping he is starting to realize where his value lies. A super fit Petracca (no I'm not saying he's fat) with a clear mind, and, given the mandate to take the game by the ??'s could be just what we need....along with a lower ball drop...

Ben Brown absolutely robbed

If people think he's fat now, imagine when he wears the hoops...?

Was Petracca honouring leads from Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin ...?

Saw Jason Taylor at the Rosebud Bunnings today, he saw me do a double take. I almost wept at his feet like he was Jesus. In my defence, he was wearing thongs so almost the same.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - KADE KOLODJASHNIJ
Vitamin Dee replied to DemonLad5's topic in Melbourne Demons
The kid was a potential star around his draft time and played some very good footy early. He was drafted into a club where many ‘potential’ stars have failed to hit the heights whether it be through lack of development, poor culture or both. Pending a ridiculous trade request and a medical, absolute no brainer. -
Just drove passed Nicholls walking his dog, I actually gave way to him prior to knowing who it was. He had his calf strapped so hopefully he’s a late out.

Sunday's Herald Sun reported that someone had 1K on Oliver @ $21. Has to be someone from here.. -
WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - CLAYTON OLIVER

I mean't that I believe his style of play will be more inside grunt and physically hurting opponents like we saw in Ricciuto, than the tear away pace from a stoppage or forward of the play we see from Dangerfield. He has poise which is rare for someone so physical. Ricciuto is one of my all time no Melbourne players and I think Clayton's 'style' may be similar, or, more comparable than Dangerfield. -

Whilst I understand Oliver's skill sets being compared to Dangerfield, I think he may evolve into something more like Mark Ricciuto...with a little more poise. Can you imagine?? I genuinely feel we have the makings of the midfield we've been waiting for; Oliver Brayshaw Petracca Viney Tyson Salem VDB Yes we've been down this road before, but this is different. They're each clean / polished / ferocious / unrelenting / driven / thrive on the contest / love body contact - and THAT is something we haven't had. They're coming through together and will be driving the momentum shift, all with a reasonable target to kick to and an emerging mobile tap ruckman. I can smell it. -
I would still argue (bucket in hand) that Casboult is a average at best kick, particularly for a key forward. However, a player with his marking ability and size would definitely be of great value.......if his kicking was deemed adequate.
-
One can take a contested mark but can't kick, the other is a beautiful kick but can't take a contested mark. Personally, I would vomit and be very surprised if we drafted / traded in a player who was poor by foot.

I like your thinking, but he didn't play over 100 games for his son to qualify.
