If the PP is the first step in all other clubs hating us, good . I want our club to be hated ( and hopefully eventually envied ) by every other club & their supporters. If this is the start bring it on.

My hope is that he will be able to meld this group of individuals into a team. The immediate improvement from everyone playing for each other rather than for themselves could be enormous.. That & the addition of 2-3 AFL midfielders could very quickly turn us into a mid table team next year.

Or if our worst fears come to fruition, decrease the percentage.

I remember the same euphoria when our last coaching messiah RB came back to the club at a similar low point in our history. He was there 5 long years without great success, it was only after his term that the hard work he put in came to fruition. If PR does come I would not be expecting miracles, just a long hard slog back up the ladder.

That would be true if the players that have gone actually wanted to play for Neeld.Look at all their performances from last year. If they had stayed we could have expected more of the same. If they succeed at other clubs it only will prove to me that their endeavours last year were not sincere. A culture change was necessary, those who were against this were always going to be the sacrifices. Neeld success or not should be determined by who he brings into the club not who he gets rid of. Time will tell if he is success or not, we will all have to stick around and find out.

Seems to me Malthouse is doing at Carlton what Neeld did with Melbourne last year. He is letting it be known he will be running the club whoever's toes he happens to stand on in the process. If the players don't like it look for a big cleanout at year's end. Buy in or get out!!

Who knows how the 2013 will pan out. We will only surely know after the first few rounds next year. The only comparisons we have at this stage is on the training track. The signs there are all good. The skills being shown this early in the season are better than during the season last year. The enthusiasm at training is far better, players are encouraging each other, even in the running drills. When skills drills go wrong the drill is stopped & the players talked through what went wrong(no more waving arms, shouting & finger pointing). If we can reproduce this same enthusiasm & improved skills in game time, I can see a much improved side in 2013..

I would hope that we would get more out of Rodan & Byrnes than Moloney & Gysbert.If not the whole change over will be a disaster.

Glad to see Jetta given another chance. If he can be injury free I think he will be an asset this season.

Hope we keep Barty around the club. Maybe as a mentor for some of the younger guys. Would be great seeing him instilling some of his G&D into someone like Barry.

Maybe all those who questioned the Hogan deal will now understand the reasoning behind it. (Insurance) If we do get sanctioned next year we will already have our first round pick secured. If we don't get sanctioned, Hallelujah, we get two first round picks.
