  1. He will be denounced as another leftie on this forum (after all he is an academic) just like any commentary on the ABC. Any comment other than those in the Herald Sun or by Andrew Bolt cannot be taken seriously as anything but left wing by some on here.
  2. Maybe the players will come under the scrutiny they deserve. Nowhere to hide this time.
  3. If we don't start winning games early on next year the tone will change. "He's not the messiah, he's just a very naughty boy" will be the cry.
  4. Hey Hood I would start checking your phone isn't tapped after that outburst.
  5. I too hope this is the case and I support PJ on everything he has done so far. I will totally believe when I see a club competitive both on & off the field. We have had too many people crowned as saviours in the past who have been acclaimed to be on the right track, only to send us back into the depths of despair. I will believe, this time, when I see results.
  6. As much proof as you have that Neeld didn't convey his message to Royal. I was not saying that was the case just pointing out there are two possibilities.
  7. Thanks for the insightful comment
  8. It's also possible that Royal was not listening to Neeld and not sticking by the party line. A bit like when Dad says No and then Mum says Yes because it is non confrontational.
  9. We do have the nuclei of forward & back line though.
  10. I find it amusing the lack of hand wringing & abuse on here re PJ's ability to attract sponsors. If CS was still in charge I don't think he would be receiving the same latitude. Hopefully, sponsors will come forward soon or we will be going cap in hand again to the AFL.
  11. The AFL not trying to kill us they are just giving us a chance of standing on our own two feet. We need to win games this year. If we do that the AFL will continue to back us financially because it is in their interest to have 18 competitive teams in the league.
  12. Hardly an abundance of tall backs. Frawley, Garland & McDonald then Dunn (not tall enough to take a tall forward) & Pedersen ( recruited as a forward/ ruck). An injury to one of the first three leaves our backline very short on tall quality.
  13. Was wondering whether Roos would be hands on like in the video or whether he would let others do the training a la Neeld. Hope if is the former.
  14. Only if he can play as a KPD where we are now very light on for depth.

  16. Only the last 2 years?Lucky you, you give up too easily.
  17. I wasn't suggesting they were good back up. Just pointing out we have delisted 3 tall defenders and at this stage not replaced any. Not sure whether Fitzy would be the answer down back. Hogan I think could be a possibity.
  18. If the deal with St Kilda & GWS for Josh Bruce falls over & he nominates for the PSD can we choose him as our pick comes before St Kilda's. If so we should be into his manager's ear to try & get him to the Dees.
  19. Definitely need to target the best available key position defender at 40. We have delisted Gillies, Sellar & Davis. We have very little in the way of backup in this area if we have injuries.
  20. Thanks Richy. All three seem OK by the write ups . Would hope we will pick one of them up, I really think we are in need of back up in the tall defender area.
  21. Still think we need another Key defender. Looking at key defenders around the 40 mark . Could be a choice of McStay , Giles or Fort. Anyone know who would be a good pick up.
  22. We desperately need to pick up another experienced mid before next season. So far we have lost 2 experienced mids in Sylvia & Rodan . We have picked up Vince & 2 players with a total of 14 games plus another mid from the draft with no experience. Our midfield will be close to the most inexperienced in the league.
