WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - FRASER ROSMAN
Have thought the same 'delusions'... The draft is a bit of a raffle but more so this draft because of the lack of exposed form. Of course the missing year may have been the year he jumped up the rankings and would have gone top 10. Bontempelli was ranked outside the top 10 as was Oliver and they both came home with a big run. ...maybe we got the steal of the draft. Some clubs will because of the circumstances. Here's hoping we're that club.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - FRASER ROSMAN
He looks a good athlete as you say 'Damo' and like you I would be happy to see him also being a natural footballer...as we've seen with Frost & Smith athlete doesn't always equal natural footballer.

In the end it turned into May...

Scully "steps away"
I think that's a key point 'Macca' and in the end probably why they haven't produced a flag. The care factor including their's was next to zero...they had and used the luxury of churning through money and players. They weren't really held to account, but the day of reckoning is fast approaching.

Scully "steps away"
Sorry '58er'...I don't understand what you are getting at here nor why my comment is ridiculous. Let me try and explain. I agree that it wasn't fair play, the whole thing smelt a bit rotten with Scully's dad working with GWS. Both clubs were screwed...at the time we lost a player we thought would be a generational player for us and they paid way overs for a player they thought the same. We actually ended up better off but that wasn't to be known at the time and I like most of us felt cheated by the AFL & the Scully's. GWS screwed themselves... As for Tom & his dad, they took what was on offer. Good luck to them. They didn't make the offer, GWS were stupid enough to play way overs for a good average AFL player who in the end was cut down by injury. Tom & his dad made the right decision by them. As for the AFL rule to tie players to 3 years, yeah I think it's a good idea but I made no comment on that.

I think I've got the vinyl somewhere as well. ...but looking at prices strangely enough that was still around the regular price. Of course the prices could all be "tell 'em your dreaming" prices Killer album though.

It was remiss of me not to post this. ...but one of the great acoustic guitar players and one of my guitar heroes Tony Rice passed away on Christmas day. Tony was at the forefront of new bluegrass for want of a better title. The first time I heard him was on a David Grisman album called "Hot Dawg"...just brilliant. I'm lucky to have a copy of the CD, lucky because I looked it up last week and found it going for around US$900+ on Amazon. Probably my all time favourite acoustic instrumental album, it has a cover of Django's "Minor Swing" with Stefan Grappelli guesting. Tony was a beautiful singer but suffered some muscle issue and lost that singing voice a number of years back, then to cap it off over the last 10 years he had issues with his elbow that virtually stopped him playing. He wouldn't perform if he couldn't play like Tony Rice. Play and sing it again Tony...

That's pretty funny 'soup'... As 'Man' says...Read It Again. Not sitting on the fence here but your comprehension is sadly lacking.

Scully "steps away"
Not fair play but in the end both clubs got screwed...Tom & his dad set themselves up nicely through no fault of their own.

He was the consensus number one, so not just so MFC in this case. At the time the Tiges would have loved him...grew up a Richmond supporter. How lucky were they to miss???

The debate about the value of pick 1...it is still a bit of a raffle. This is ' @Macca' pet subject. The value of the draft. Every recruiter in the land would have taken Scully. It's not only the pick and development but also luck with injury. Not wishing him any bad luck in the future but Rowell looked great then goes down...will he come back as good, will injury dog his career. Who knows? ...best not to have all your eggs in the one basket.

TRAINING: Monday 25th January 2021
The cutbacks in coaching staff mean that Goody does some more hands on coaching which might be good for him and the team...like you, I love this vision.

Another Covid breach by Richmond
To be fair on this one 'Lucifer' it wasn't Richmond's fault here. The AFL F...U...badly. That's why it didn't come out.

A wonderful guitar player 'hardtack'... Funny story, kinda backs up what you are saying about him being very unassuming. One of the top LA session guys got called to a producers house (think it was a film producer) to lay down some country licks. As he pulled up he noticed Albert mowing the lawn next door. When he finished his work he said to the producer, "you know all this stuff I'm playing I got from your next door neighbour." A little more Albert... https://youtu.be/h1Rx-zaBjow

Kirk Fletcher and Josh Smith are another couple worth a listen if you haven't already 'Earl'. Jack Pearson in almost any genre...plays great blues, did a short stint with the Allman's until Dicky Betts killed his ears...The Nashville guys revere him.

Billy was a legend, no doubt about that...one of the first live show I went to was Billy at the Box Hill Town Hall. The first band I remember seeing in concert was Carson supporting John Mayall at Festival Hall...the other support was Company Caine. Broderick left a huge impression on me and to this day he's probably my favourite singer in 'Oz

List prediction 2022
Great athlete, average (at best) footballer. Pretty simple really...

Jordan Lewis’s views on Kossie
I reckon he was pretty good in his first season... He needed to steady and convert a bit better but will learn that. ...and he brought the forward pressure that we sadly needed. For a kid that doesn't have a tank he sure worked hard up and back, he wasn't afraid to work. Couldn't ask for much more.

RIP markc
So sorry to hear this sad news 'Hell Bent'...although I didn't know him personally you could tell he was a passionate supporter. He came across as one of the good guys when posting on here. As '@Grapeviney' says it's heartbreaking...I just feel for his kids. R.I.P Mark

Looks pretty good to me... Some people might do well to look at what he brings to the team rather than focus on nit picking negatives.

Email from the Board
I'm inclined to make a change on the board. This comes from not knowing any of the current board or the new candidate. I think like he did with the team & coach last season, it's time for Bartlett to get a kick up the a... Now you will not find a more thorough case than that anywhere.

Please do 'Dr', I would be interested in your player observations from the past. So long as they're not hindsight observations.

Yes, it's a real pity as it's the training reports at this time of year that keep us all enthusiastic for the season ahead...

Off-season outlook: Pressure will be on Melbourne and Simon Goodwin
You're probably reading a bit too much into it at the moment. It's more likely the club realised the lack of experience in the FD. ...and remember, we were after Yze last year when there were no recent events. So he came on board as his contract ended with the Hawks. Williams for mine replaces Macca albeit a year too late as an experienced developer and mentor of players.
