  1. I'm sure Fox do... There business model is built on outrage.

Some great stories above...was talking to my brother about Michael last night. He's had much more to do with him than me but one thing that sticks with both of us is that he's been loyal to a lot of people over the years. ....I think he had a genuine interest in music and it's people '@Rob Mac......' unlike others who were in it purely for all they could get.
  3. Don't agree with you a lot 'Dr' but definitely with you here.

Despite all the hype around the kid, it's more likely Rosman will be a good year or two off. Missing a year of footy will set a lot of kids back, particularly the development types like him. Natural footballers like Bowey won't have been effected as much.
  5. Please don't put the words "Gus" & "Concussion"...in the same heading. I think I suffer from selective reading.

    Poor old "Censored' Fenton-Smith...

With Baker as the other option I can understand why we are still looking...
  8. Beat me to it 'bin'... My bold prediction is the Cats won't make the 8.
  9. Sounds like the defence of choice these days. The boss sees no evil...it wasn't passed on to me.
  10. F... the greater good
  11. Sets a dangerous precedent...no way should we bend over on this.

    Is Dennis coming back??? Please..
  13. The trouble with concessions or anything down the track is they get forgotten easily and never happen. No thanks, as we could see in 2020...you take what you have now. Next week is too far away.
  14. If you watched his career to date and this game in particular. He gets lost in traffic, just not good with contact. That contest was typical not a one off... ...but you believe what you will.
  15. I think he just showed why he won't make it... He's good out on his own but no idea in any kind of traffic.

...and it's all gone downhill from there. Coinciding with the time Bartlett wanted to put his nose in.

Why not get him back as President, CEO and board...flick the rest. Might not be democratic but what we have now isn't either...at least he would get things done. He's got a track record for action.

    ...or Hawthorn to Dingley.

How many new members have signed up in the City of Melbourne over that 10 years? The Casey membership is only a significant rebuke if they had planned for a big increase in membership and that was not forthcoming... What if despite the membership thing, Casey was the best place to establish new facilities? I was dead against any thought of moving to Casey but 'Old' & 'Macca' have finally started to turn my thinking around...that and the changing world we live in. We can't just keep pushing for something that's not working, the club is dying a slow death that way. ...as 'Better' says above it would be good to see the business case for the MCG precinct and any alternatives.

I actually don't think it matters...or at least shouldn't be the key driving force. How many members have we attracted in the city of Melbourne, how many member do we have in the City of Melbourne? The population isn't static, I'm sure we had a good percentage of our members in the City of Melbourne in 1892... You can keep chasing your base but at some time you have to settle and create a base. Our playing base is the MCG but maybe we should also look at a boutique stadium at Casey like the cats and play some of our lesser drawing games out there...the Cats clean up financially and the facilities are pretty much all covered by the 3 governments, local, state and federal. If we don't start thinking ahead and out of the box we will more than likely end up in Tassie or defunct... It's what we can build that matters.

I used to think this but there are plenty of advantages to Casey... Remember, nobody would want to go down and live at sleepy hollow. The world is not static 'Gonzo', things move on and we need to be with it and not just lock into an old ideal. Casey might just be the right place for a forward thinking club, not one that has been running in circles for years and getting nowhere.

What a load of rubbish...we've been more than patient.

I've previously been of the view that it's MCG surrounds or nothing but am coming around to the Casey idea... If we don't do something I can see us 10 years down the track talking about the missed opportunity at Casey like we have been going on and on about the lost Olympic Park opportunity. We we could establish that east coast thing from the peninsula down to Phillip Island... The traffic around the city is becoming a real turn off anyway so if you were driving out of town it might not be as long a journey as into town if you are in the Eastern suburbs... One of the first things we would need to do though is get coverage around the whole ground from the wind... I would see as 'Macca' says a huge opportunity to get government funding out there...

I would say he is riding on Jackson's coat tails here...and that falling out has cost us.

Ok, given he was given a seat at the board by the current Prez then it's unlikely for him to want to unseat him. Apart from that if we think Bartlett is not the best speaker, he would definitely not be a step up.
