    No rights

For the last year I have posted that we need to be under AFL administration to sort out the club and this is effectively what we have. It really is our only way through.
  2. I'm happy for the AFL to take control at this time, it is administration by default and it's what is needed.
  3. I like Watts in the middle, this is where we should develop him as the Goddard type player. Goddard's not a big clearance machine but he is a go to man with his kicking and he can drift forward and back. Watts has a similar skill set, let him settle there and see what he can do.
  4. A bit like Nahas at CHF for Coburg...
  5. I'm thinking Max may not have the match fitness to run out a full game in the ruck, but he is streets ahead of Spencer in all other aspects of his game. Like Watts as mid and Clisby in. Hope Rory Taggert gets moving the next couple of games at Casey and there's a place available for him.
  6. Nah...you might see him in St Kilda colours this week, Clint Jones.
  7. I think his talk of commissioners is different to what he first suggested when pushing to become President. I wonder if he appointed commissioners to run the councils who had a differing view point to him and his government as he suggests the AFL do, probably not but I do not mind the idea of a commission rather than a board until things are stabilised.
  8. Sorry Robbie, robbed you of one....don't know where I got that one in my mind. An absolute champion of the game not only the club.

Sorry mate but I was and so were a few others. I was saying it before the Geelong game, sometimes you do need to look at the past to learn from it. At AGM's our board were determined to take the stance you have just posted, focus on the future the past is done. Well it wasn't and it has continually come back to bite us on the bum. There are still some board members that must go, one in particular who was known as a big Schwab supporter and needs to be held responsible for his part in the goings on post the Geelong debacle.
  10. We already have.
  11. B&F in one year or club champion as you like to call it does not make him a champion of the club. That honour is reserved for players like Robbie Flower, Robbie never won a club B&F by the way.
  12. I thought he was going to tell us yesterday 'wyl'...
  13. I don't think we will. Whether it is good process or not but I also don't think any one else will apply.

I am too 'Jimmi', there are still some who supported him on the board and it's time for them to move on.
  15. We will headhunt, as I've said before there will be no bs committee on this one and don't worry about Williams and Eade they will be approached and I believe at least one of them has already been sounded out. We will have a coach locked away before the end of the season, it will only be the announcement that will be delayed.
  16. Best summation of our list I've read.
  17. What absolute rubbish mate.
  18. Yeah 'tona', there are a few on here who bag out players...call them all kinds of names. Personally I'm not a big fan of that. There are also a lot on here, myself included who are critical of players and put up a good argument as to why. I see nothing wrong with that, it's what makes the football part of the football world go round.
  19. Pretty much said the same things as in his presser, virtually word for word in some instances.
  20. It's unfortunately what it has to be otherwise...no club.
  21. Yep, ok but often an interim coach is perceived as a lame duck especially if they are not going any further. I wouldn't have a clue what Craig is thinking but just maybe he is talking about throwing his hat in the ring to avoid this perception.
  22. Wake up yourself 'Hardnut' and you will read that is what I have said. I agree with you. edit...well actually I don't, shouldn't post on the run. Todd Viney was a lame duck coach, had said he had no want to go on with the job...the players smell this and the poor performances continue. With Craig hinting he may be interested in the job he may well be in a better position to take them through to the end of the year even if he doesn't want to go on next year. It has nothing to do with promoting his interests it is about keeping the team honest.
  23. As I said on another thread it is good he is making noises about the job, it will keep the players on their toes as he can't be seen as a lame duck coach to just go through the motions with. Whether he is serious about it or not only he will know.
