  1. It won't put them out of the running for Boyd, it has nothing to do with it. They will look for a trade and will want more than Yarran or Lucas.
  2. He's not getting the amount of ball he was last year, Terlich and Garland have been sweeping up a fair bit of that. I think he has played a more defensive role and over the last couple of weeks I can't see where anyone has kicked a bag on him even though he has been playing undersized. There are a few others that would go before Dunn.
  3. Davis deserves a run but I think they will leave Barry for next year, I would like to see Taggert though. Coming off illness last week he was slow to get into the game but had a good last Q.
  4. Could be right there 'Sat', there is no doubt he lost some zip. Good to see him back on track, I'm sure he can prove the doubters wrong.
  5. 'Sat' this doesn't explain the loss of pace last season where it became apparent something wasn't right. He's certainly getting the ball a bit more and playing some good footy, I just reckon he doesn't have full freedom in his movement yet. This is not a knock on him as I am a big supporter of his and think a lot on here under sell him. The kid will be an A grader when he gets his power back.
  6. Michael Long is obviously the king of obviously, he obviously uses it at least once in obviously every sentence.
  7. Yeah the do, so how would that work. I guess they could force his hand.
  8. It can raise as many eyebrows as you like but it's not about one game. it's about consistent poor performance. We are in position to get a PP and if the dogs stay down for a few more years they will be in position for a PP then.
  9. Like your thinking, we need to make every post a winner.
  10. Makes sense...and how many games has Mitch played.
  11. Well out of her area of expertise there.
  12. Why do people think Jamar has any currency? he doesn't and will finish his career in the next year or so with us.
  13. They get Thomas if they want him as an RFA so why give up no 1 and Collingwood may not be be in the market anyway. They have Cloke and could do with another but it depends a bit on how they see Paine and Grundy coming on. Would they pay the price, it would need to be someone they won't want to lose. Warnock is of no use to GWS as they will have Bellchambers and Giles as a back up. Gibbs might do it for them, Yarran on his own wouldn't. Carlton will have to make the play, they are desperate and they have players with currency...will they spend. That is spot on 'Ben', but it's looking like it won't be an issue unless GWS pull a couple of wins starting with the doggies this weekend.
  14. Bird is ok Harper suffers from not being able to get enough of the ball and we have enough of those already.
  15. With you on this, don't like those terms either. Argue the merits of the player without the rather inane name calling.
  16. Port bucked the trend on the weekend but I get what you are saying. I think one would be enough though, and even then I think it would be better for both players to come back through Casey. No change if Blease comes up ok.
  17. Er no he didn't...he went in 2007 the year they thankfully beat our record for the biggest GF defeat. They won their flag in 2004.
  18. GWS will trade that pick only if they get a real quality player with around with 3 to 5 seasons under the belt. Just off the top of my head of some clubs needing a key forward Carlton would need to trade Gibbs or Murphy, no to Kruezer as they are into Bellchambers big time and from what I hear it is over the line. St Kilda don't have anyone all too old, Collingwood would need to be Sidebottom or Beams, Footscray, Griffen..Freo would be Fyfe....so unless someone is really desperate for that pick and willing to bank on it I think GWS may hold.
  19. Next to no chance but Christensen and Parker would be nice.
  20. Mirrors Corey Enright in many ways, hope he has the same career highlights.
  21. Pretty sure he's been running pubs back as far as when he was coaching us.
  22. "Swooper"
  23. I agree we should look for a mid in free agency but as a few 18 yo have shown this year they are quite capable. Wines, O'meara, Vlastuin...
  24. They have Bellchambers in the bag 'stuie', put your money on it if you are a betting man.
  25. You're probably right there but I get the impression that is what may happen particularly as they said they would be back to Jackson with an answer in the not too distant future. I know that may be only the financial deal but it could also be the complete package. Totally agree on the perception thing, there is no reason for us to be worse off at all.
