  1. It's only made me more angry and disappointed. It upsets me that bunch of ...... could bring the game to it's knees through their actions and denials . I thought the club was bigger than the individual and the game much bigger but not so with these arrogant tossers. There actions have hurt the game too much to get any joy.
  2. If we get pick 1 which is still on the cards either on ladder position or PP I think we will take 'Boyd' and should.
  3. Probably right there but on future value something might be given up. I mean we got a good pick for Brock, just used it poorly.
  4. I think you are right but if Gibbs were on offer I wouldn't be unhappy. He is streets ahead of Jack at the moment.

Why don't we just post the team lists of every other club up, we must be getting close by now.
  6. It just doesn't matter, no one really takes Sam that seriously these days and if he was out having lunch with Dank he was probably after some tips and product to help him out with his obsession to look young and get the old fella working. Not illegal for an ex footballer I would have thought.
  7. Sidebottom is another good handy player but not an A grader and nowhere near a pick one selection. If we get pick one we take Boyd.
  8. I think you are right that we have been caught out in following trends in football and this also shows in the way we recruited in the past. As you say the good clubs and coaches adapt quickly I think because they don't just try to pick winners. They look at what they have and what is happening and go about winning games of football while we have been chasing the pack, trying to be too smart. I would also add that the really good coaches don't only adapt but set the trends in football. Let's hope that's us in the years to come.
  9. The one big difference is that Buckley did an assistant coaching apprenticeship, the other 2 did a media apprenticeship.
  10. Personal opinion that I've stated many times, but I don't rate small forwards at all if that's their only trick. All the good ones play up the ground now, even the bad ones except they can't get a kick there.
  11. The only good small forward is one who can run through the midfield and do it well. Stokes has been very good this year, not really the leader that you would want to get at his age though.
  12. I wouldn't think it would be, I don't think they would have a problem with an interview but would only if he was appointed before their finals campaign was over.
  13. Unfortunately for us I think AA actually thought the AFL meant it when they talked of integrity. Silly Adrian, unfortunate us. Integrity seems to be the last stand when all else fails a little bit like Essendons talk of natural justice.
  14. The board were absolutely derelict in their duty to extend his contract twice.
  15. I remember seeing Roos out and about a bit during his playing days with the Roys and the thing that alway stuck with me was he was the centre of the playing group, everything gravitated around him and I think this is what he brings to coaching. He is a leader and people follow him, and he's also smart enough to delegate and let people do their thing. Man management and getting the best out of people is a big part of coaching. Whether he comes to us or not, who knows. I just hope we get the right man for the job this time.
  16. It wouldn't have changed their decision but it would have met with a bit more resistance given his status with supporters.
  17. You're right 'Rhino', but I lost sympathy for the same reasons a while back.
  18. Might have been difficult if he had won all 3, seems like they have a plan. Surely you don't do this without one but it could backfire badly.
  19. They will, but it is more than Essendon that they need his evidence on and it could take a fair while for them to get the questions together before Dank is brought in. They have only just started with the NRL and he is also involved in some of that plus other AFL clubs including ours. This unfortunately has a long way to run yet.
  20. Robinson picks and chooses his contests, he's not as hard and tough as is believed. Skills would be at home with a lot of our guys but we need better.
  21. Sloane is contracted to Adelaide, he has never indicated he wants to come back to Melbourne, and again tell me why Adelaide would want to trade him????
  22. No according to many the idea is you trade them for picks and see if you can get another quality dependable player without any experience in the draft lottery. Sounds like a great idea, I mean if you've done it once surely you can do it again.
  23. Sloane is not going anywhere. Funny a few weeks ago some on here didn't think he was worth a first round pick, amazing what the game on the weekend has done to his value on Demonland.
