Yep, Taggert's been left out. It looks like I'll be staying home now.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - DANIEL CROSS
rjay replied to MadAsHell's topic in Melbourne Demons
Another one is do we look at Kerr, apparently on the outside at WC. Injury prone, off field questionable but is a great player who can really gut run and show our younger guys what it really takes to make it. 'Pennant', you would know the pluses and minuses on this. Your view?? -
Has a good record of getting things right, Jay???
-
Not a bad argument 'dee-luded'. Don't know that you've sold me yet but... Yep, Parko is certainly more qualified than the last group combined to select the right coach.

THE DRAFT: TAC CUP FUTURE STARS ROLLING DRAFT
rjay replied to Whispering_Jack's topic in Melbourne Demons
Has he been training with us already? -
It would be 3.
-
I'd be shocked if we didn't get pick one or three.
-
I hope your source is wrong mate. If Taggert plays it gives me reason to go to the game this week otherwise it's pointless.

THE WILSON FILE - the arrogance at the heart of the innuendo
rjay replied to Whispering_Jack's topic in Melbourne Demons
I think you are right in that she does come across as negative and self righteous but in the Melbourne case (apart from some of the over the top comment pieces) she was on the money. Non of the main culprits in the non tanking affair are at the club any longer. -
Geelong v Casey Scorpions Qualifying Final

plus 2 forward lines, that should make up for Hogan. -
Better for Taggert to play, it will at least put some interest in the game. He should have come up last week.

Bombers scandal: charged, <redacted> and <infracted>
rjay replied to Jonesbag's topic in Melbourne Demons
I think you are part right here about Dank being a critical but it looks like ASADA are collecting as much info as they can from both AFL and NRL sources before they grill Dank. I know we want things over and done with but this is the way they are going about it. -
Bombers scandal: charged, <redacted> and <infracted>
rjay replied to Jonesbag's topic in Melbourne Demons
Dank is part of this investigation as well and they've only just started to get into the interview stage. ASADA will be looking to bring Dank in and ask questions in regard to both investigations. It's going to be hard enough to get him in so they won't be doing it twice. -

They will when they're in a position to include the NRL investigation, until that time nothing will happen with Dank. That's the hold up. -
WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - DANIEL CROSS

I don't think he has enough currency for a club like the blues and we already have enough pensioners, he's right at the end of it now. I like the way he goes about it but we need to offload a few to pick him up. -
Sheed is not that good in the stoppages 'Gonzo', he's more an accumulator. If you want a hard at it mid you go for Crouch. Aish is a very good footballer who will hit the contest and distribute well, we haven't really had any of those drafted at all recently. Kelly is a no nonsense players with good hand and skills.

Not the FD???
-
No way we will take Lewis Taylor at pick 3 and Crouch won't go through to 19.

Even without the Essendon saga I don't think Lloyd would have provided much of value. I think his old team mate Scott Lucas is a much better analyst of the game. It would have been a really interesting year with Grant Thomas on the panel. -
Don't really care much now, last weeks selections were the final straw.

Damn you Dawesy, every time I think you were a waste of a pick you go and do something like this. At least the guy shows good leadership, I truly hope he can show it consistently on field from here on. A good news story.

Players will get suspensions, they will not make finals. ASADA still looms big over this no matter what Little says. -
Melbourne to be investigated re supplements
rjay replied to red and blue forever's topic in Melbourne Demons
I think you will find that CS is gone and it was the nail when we didn't come forward. 2 other people are still involved at the club who could have governance issues questioned, Craig and Misson. The players will come under ASADA questioning if they haven't already and if it's proven they have taken any banned substances then they will be suspended. -
I understand where you are coming from with this and you've made your point well. My opinion is that there is probably a greater probability of neither player reaching anywhere near the potential of the physical skills they have on offer. They don't work hard enough and sometimes that can't be changed, they are both used to getting by with only the effort required and both have been able to look good at the junior level and at times in AFL when not challenged. They will always tease. It's why I'm not so keen on Yarran and see Watts as being our next Silvia if he's not moved on.

I think the players will be charged, it's only a matter of when.
