  1. Probably the vibe 'layzie', it just felt right to me. A great champion honoured, and he is a champion of the game a term that shouldn't be used lightly. I get why others don't like it but I do.
  2. A lot will depend on how the AFL changes effect the game. If it's a lot more open then the 3 in the forward half are going to be a handful for opposition teams when they can't get numbers back.
  3. It brings into question how we played, how the mids used the ball. Not necessarily the forward structure. We are not a in a static environment, it's a young team growing and learning to play together. Imagine how good Hogan would be if we didn't keep bombing the ball in and lowered our eyes earlier in the season....
  4. Interesting how opinions vary but personally I loved Franklin's selection as Captain...
  5. If I had a choice of any player to augment our current list it would probably be one of these 2. Yeo is so adaptable, could play anywhere and do it well, strong in the contest and in the air. Macrae is the wingman we need. What the hell, lets get them both. Make it happen PJ before you hand over your desk...
  6. When playing I used to say to my teammates, "you don't run on your hands"...it was back when we thought we were tough and it would need to be a pretty serious upper body injury to keep you out. Harmes & Oliver have both played within days of hand surgery, so who knows how that compares to this.' @Webber' our resident physio might have a bit more info. Apparently the big issue for Dom is the pain management side. Will be an interesting selection.
  7. If they take Tyson in then it won't be a risk 'Red'... Different matter if he had a leg or shoulder problem but if the plate has done it's job then he will be 100%. If it effects his ball handling at all in training then he doesn't play. This one should be an easy yes or no unlike a bit of a dodgy hammy...
  8. Please don't wish Ticketmaster on anyone. These are the guys that have Ticketmaster Resale, have a look at the prices on this site and you will get what it is about... The 2 internationally owned ticket agencies are not the answer, not the place to go into the way they deal but they fall under the 2 major conglomerates that run entertainment world wide. They are very powerful and not afraid to wield that power. There is a reason they didn't apologise...they just don't care. They are too big to care about a few fans of a backwater sport. There has to be a better solution.

Something not right here...they take years to get him right he plays a couple of games, seems to be going ok. Then gets dropped for team balance????
  10. Yes, the system is stuffed and their is a bit of a stirring going on in the political scene...but if it were you or I we would have no chance of approaching Dutton and getting the matter sorted. Mates in high places, advantage etc...I'm sure the political donation doesn't hurt when you need to get the ear of someone with influence.
  11. That's nice to know seeing as I couldn't get on to the site. I know they won't care, in fact don't care but who is the moron that put all the ticket on sale on the same day. Seriously no one in power gives a flying f.... It matters little to them as the tickets will still be sold at the end of the day....
  12. So, who did the Doggies, Saints, Port, Freo and Swans beat on the weekend. Those players selected must have made the difference.... Kane's taking the P... now.
  13. He's had a really good season as a KPD...well deserved. Should probably make the AA 22... Take off the red & blue glasses '11'.
  14. Roos likened him to McVeigh from the Swans the other night. I get that, he's becoming a really smart player, setting up play & cutting the lines (opposition attacking moves). He's maturing nicely and tough as nails.
  15. I wouldn't be casting too many stones on this one 'brendan'... It's a problem in all clubs from what I hear, big problem. From an article in 2002... https://www.smh.com.au/sport/lewis-drug-accusation-isnt-that-far-off-the-mark-lyon-20020309-gdf52z.html You would have to be mad to think it has improved... "Things go Better", seems to be the choice these days. Young men, risk takers, time and money...plenty of hangers on.
  16. End of story...and if he did then 'Reds' price is about right.

    Thanks 'Clint', that's the one.

Hagdorn and Hardy 'Pennant'... To be honest the only solid news I believe out of WA comes either from you or one of the other posters who's name slips my mind at the mo...edit: 'Chook in Perth' (thanks 'Clint') ...and of course the news breaker ' @Ethan Tremblay'
  19. Remember it well 'bingers'... The feeling in the outer at Western Oval and the many beers after at a local pub...
  20. Agree 'Bob'. I always thought it amusing the experts view at the start of the season that having one man do the job would solve all the problems and provide consistency. It's never going to happen. Each new footy boss put's his spin on it and comes up short as Hocking has. It's human nature...
  21. In all honesty 'joeboy', I think the AFL put in a senior panel that was less inclined to be influenced by the home crowd. A smart move as it was an important game for both clubs as well as shaping the 8. The decisions you talk about could easily have gone against us but there were many others that could have gone our way. The crowd were angry at the performance of their 23rd man though, they didn't get a clear run at it. Rigged? no... but I think it was either a smart move or luck that the AFL seemed to address the home town decisions with the selection of the umpires.
  22. Agree 'Macca'...but you're making too much sense. I prefer the narrative that Nichols has it in for us, it's much easier to yell at the tele.
  23. Tyson 'joeboy'- prolific but wasteful

    ....any follow up.
