  1. Not likely 'Lucifer', Smith (206cm) came up against our Smith of the Tim (192cm) variety last week and gave them nothing in a 15 goal loss. Looked like being an absolute champion in the VFL when he played with the Suns as a 17yo before they came into the comp now it looks like he's at the crossroads...struggles with the contest but must be more to it. ...but Scott does like his left of fields...more likely to run Blicavs in the ruck I think.
  2. I suspect that will happen 'Rob' and that Jack will play more forward with a few cameo's in the middle (shake Ablett up a little). I hope so anyway...
  3. Martin certainly had the biggest influence... Interesting to compare with Mitchell who had lot of the ball with limited influence. They certainly didn't cancel each other out. To further prove that point a few Hawk stars had a very average night. I would also say their bottom 6 were poor but that's what happens if your stars are not in the game. Your bottom 6 will always ride the coat-tails of the stars.
  4. It's effecting my preparation & mindset though 'Wise'... These guys just need to zip it now, nothing to be gained except to make themselves look more stupid than they already are. If that's possible. In the immortal words of Kenny Rogers... "You've got to know when to hold 'em Know when to fold 'em"...

..but you do. Getting multiple tickets is at the heart of scalping. The problem with scalping is that the scalpers do get multiple tickets by use of technology and or influence, the regular person doesn't stand a chance. One of the ticketing operations actually encourages the practice. This is not mum and dad making a couple of bucks on some tickets, it's an organised operation.
  6. Agree 'Colin' but like you I will arc up when someone tries to rewrite history as has been attempted this week. Anyway, I think we are now in good hands and the players seem intent on writing their own history. Richmond still had the crazies trying to take over the place even up to their premiership year. Maybe the Neeld and McLardy stuff is the blow out we fans had to have and we can move on to better days. I sure hope so...unless Mike gets CS on in Grand Final week, whiteboard, desk and all there's no-one else to wheel out is there?
  7. No 'WERRIDEE', not even close. The totally incompetent board we had at the time should take most of the blame. The board that was responsible for the CEO, allowed Lyon to be coopted to a role he had no experience in and didn't take the hard decisions when Jimmy was ailing among other things. The same board that appointed Neeld.
  8. Can't agree with this 'deanox'. In his first few years Roos turned over most of our list. He inherited a disaster. It wasn't repairing, it was a total club rebuild with Jackson at the helm. The blame has to be shared for the mess, no doubt. Neeld played his part but die was cast well before he arrived.

I'm not sure this game actually comes under the anti scalping laws does it? I thought the law only effected the GF... and any other major event the govt. deemed fit to include. Isn't it the sometime anti scalping law, or the when we can be bothered gazetting it anti scalping law, or when there are enough votes in it anti scalping law, or the when I can't get a ticket anti scalping law.
  10. This is the big differences between the old admin and the new. PJ came in and put the team first. What is a club without a team? how do you survive without winning? You build the club around the team. Don's comments are delusional. The last piece my a....
  11. ...be interesting to see if Carro mentions anything tonight. Maybe a bit of stirring with the week off.
  12. I think they are thinking a bit further ahead than us...now this is what I call going early. https://www.theage.com.au/sport/afl/defiant-cats-coach-chris-scott-declares-richmond-beatable-20180803-p4zvh4.html
  13. We saved the club...it was the supporters/fans in the end that made enough noise to be heard. The club was on it's knee's... Luckily for us, love him or hate him Andrew Demetriou listened. He got the right man for the job in PJ, a great get as it turned out. ...but make no mistake, the rebuild of this club started from the fans. There was no messiah, just a club in turmoil at the top and enough of us day to day supporters that still cared. Now as Simon said the other day it's ours to enjoy, so enjoy but remember. ...The Dee-surgence started with us. No one can take that away from us.
  14. Not sure what you are on tonight 'Dee' but if you believe that one you believe in the tooth fairy.
  15. Heard similar 'coach' but let me tell you it's not only Collingwood. I wish people would get off the Collingwood culture crusade and have a look at the big picture. There's pretty good representation across all clubs, except ours of course...
  16. Adelaide are really keen to get this kid. How keen? Test them Carlton... If I were Carlton i would forget the priority pick and look to trade their pick one for the Crouch boys. Added to Cripps it would give them a quick bump.
  17. I've been beginning to think you can't get a decent pizza anywhere anymore. Thin base, gourmet, wood fired? All code words for rubbish... Seems everyone is cutting the inputs and increasing the price...
  18. Would rather offer Bernie another year to be honest...
  19. The word is Dom is fit and ready to go and will play... If selected of course.
  20. Watched Storm tonight... Got beaten but rested a few in the lead up to finals. With Billy retiring at the end of the season I hope they can send him out with a much deserved premiership. Drinkwater came into to replace Billy tonight & it was a promising debut. They keep producing players. Sorry, sidetracked. Sport is a serious business, there's no skin in the game then there's no game. The legends game doesn't interest me in the slightest...
  21. Double devils advocate... Most coaches don't play a tag on Mitchell so you would think he mustn't be that dangerous/valuable. ...but the players still think he is.
  22. Yes 'Mad' was thinking of him the other day but he is an SA boy for what that might matter. For some reason he has gone cold and struggling for a regular game. I would also be looking at some of the younger Tiger small forwards (not Lloyd) who are not getting a regular game.
  23. Whilst we're talking unrealistic trades, I think Macrae would suit our needs perfectly.
  24. Not sure about stage fright 'Pennant'... I remember the team in '87 were on a roll & blitzed North in the first final. Lets hope we get more of the same this time round & then for the following 3 games.
  25. As do all clubs 'Bonkers'... It's the elephant in the room and the AFL don't know how to handle it.
