Is this something you know 'dazzle'? Maybe in a swap that involved another player? I think Billings is very talented but has been underwhelming at the Saints, it's these type of players I would be looking at if we think we can turn them around.

@Pennant St Dee, how do you rate Freo's young key defender. Is is Pearce? and is he worth part of the deal? If the story is correct I would be looking at a player plus...a pick or maybe 2 players. We're in the so called window and don't need picks at the moment unless we can on trade them for needs.

Unfortunately if Denham has reported it, then it's likely to be on the money... We're not talking Brad Hardy here, like him or not Denham is a serious journalist and has runs on the board.

Really, so you think he showed the discipline expected of a leader in the first Q when the game was there to be won??? It's not about blame it's about being realistic now. Jordan doesn't have another year in him, he's got the most our of himself, he's got his 300 games and he's been an invaluable player to have around the club. ...but it's time to hang'em up. Yep, he was 'praha' but the end comes quickly. ...but those 2 teams were really just making up the numbers as unfortunately we got proven to be today. His lack of discipline was hard to take today, it's time to move on.

I would hope he does the right thing and retires now 'rp'...it's time. It's not just the poor game, it's the lack of discipline that I can't take from a senior player. It happens too often, he set a really poor tone in the first quarter when he should have been rallying the boys. ...as I say, I reckon he's been invaluable around the club for the couple of years we've had him but time is up now.

So when did Goodwin say this 'Dr'? ...because he's not getting a game it doesn't necessarily follow. Form and injury are not the only issues kids of his age (any age really) face, there could be a lot going on in his life the we know nothing of.

I don't really listen to much Garry has to say... Roos is a different story and one of the points he made last night is why would you break up this group? There is a real camaraderie within this group of players and Jessie is a big part of that. A club that wanted to tinker with this would be playing with fire, it's a CS type of move, the type of thing people wrongly see as taking the tough decision when in fact it would be a dumb decision with little foresight.

Things are never static 'Bombay'... Think Boyd's finals series a couple of years back, and how is he going now. Not saying Weed will go the same way but you never know. Hogan is a gun...no matter how many try to reinvent history. Also the game will change next year, tall players with a good tank like Hogan will be priceless if the AFL get their way and we see a more free and open game. You don't give away class like Hogan unless he wants to leave.

Martin certainly had the biggest influence... Interesting to compare with Mitchell who had lot of the ball with limited influence. They certainly didn't cancel each other out. To further prove that point a few Hawk stars had a very average night. I would also say their bottom 6 were poor but that's what happens if your stars are not in the game. Your bottom 6 will always ride the coat-tails of the stars.

Adelaide are really keen to get this kid. How keen? Test them Carlton... If I were Carlton i would forget the priority pick and look to trade their pick one for the Crouch boys. Added to Cripps it would give them a quick bump.

A lot will depend on how the AFL changes effect the game. If it's a lot more open then the 3 in the forward half are going to be a handful for opposition teams when they can't get numbers back.

It brings into question how we played, how the mids used the ball. Not necessarily the forward structure. We are not a in a static environment, it's a young team growing and learning to play together. Imagine how good Hogan would be if we didn't keep bombing the ball in and lowered our eyes earlier in the season....

End of story...and if he did then 'Reds' price is about right.
