  1. Dumb ball use that Q setting it up for Francis to cut off time and again. Rawlings will be p....off with that. On a side note, Bernie protecting his shoulder, going at a lot one sided. Not a knock but to be expected, not ready for AFL this week. Hope he & team get through to the GF and he has a blinder.
  2. I thought that was the funniest moment of the night. When Frosty took the kick out I was yelling NO! at the TV...I could here some of you lot in the crowd yelling no back through the TV. Who would have thought. Seems like it was a pre planned move & it worked.

To be honest I think the value has dropped significantly. Too many members now. I used to like the old pavilion & long room much better. I don't like all the reserved seating...etc.etc.etc....
  4. Personally would prefer the AFL to be trend setters and let the game do the entertaining. Now there's a novel idea...

Don Scott gave him (Harmes) a great wrap this morning. Loved his game against Selwood. Likened him to Michael Tuck the way he can shut a player down, get his own ball and be damaging as an attacking option.
  6. Going to be interesting, he struggled last week and looked his age. Gone one game too many??? ...but you never write off a champion, he might have one punch left. We need to give him the Ablett treatment early and make sure he goes to ground. The older you get the harder it is to get back up.
  7. Agree with 'daisy'. It's not a matter of bias or him having it in for us, I just think he's (Nichols) a pretty crook umpire... Friday night footy, Nichols and Carlton are a bad mix. Surely they can do better.
  8. Nichols has to have photo's, there's no way known he could get a game on merit...

So when did Goodwin say this 'Dr'? ...because he's not getting a game it doesn't necessarily follow. Form and injury are not the only issues kids of his age (any age really) face, there could be a lot going on in his life the we know nothing of.
  10. I don't really listen to much Garry has to say... Roos is a different story and one of the points he made last night is why would you break up this group? There is a real camaraderie within this group of players and Jessie is a big part of that. A club that wanted to tinker with this would be playing with fire, it's a CS type of move, the type of thing people wrongly see as taking the tough decision when in fact it would be a dumb decision with little foresight.
  11. Whilst that is true, please understand if I would prefer we don't have Nichols umpiring. I just don't think he's very good at it...
  12. That does hurt the AFL program, staying in is an advantage no matter how small. Every little bit helps at this stage of the season.
  13. Things are never static 'Bombay'... Think Boyd's finals series a couple of years back, and how is he going now. Not saying Weed will go the same way but you never know. Hogan is a gun...no matter how many try to reinvent history. Also the game will change next year, tall players with a good tank like Hogan will be priceless if the AFL get their way and we see a more free and open game. You don't give away class like Hogan unless he wants to leave.
  14. Yet Roos gave him 2 votes quoting his composure in the back half as being important. ...but what would he know.
  15. ANB 20 disposals, 9 tackles, Not bad for a defensive forward.
  16. Martin certainly had the biggest influence... Interesting to compare with Mitchell who had lot of the ball with limited influence. They certainly didn't cancel each other out. To further prove that point a few Hawk stars had a very average night. I would also say their bottom 6 were poor but that's what happens if your stars are not in the game. Your bottom 6 will always ride the coat-tails of the stars.
  17. Adelaide are really keen to get this kid. How keen? Test them Carlton... If I were Carlton i would forget the priority pick and look to trade their pick one for the Crouch boys. Added to Cripps it would give them a quick bump.
  18. Would rather offer Bernie another year to be honest...
  19. Yes 'Mad' was thinking of him the other day but he is an SA boy for what that might matter. For some reason he has gone cold and struggling for a regular game. I would also be looking at some of the younger Tiger small forwards (not Lloyd) who are not getting a regular game.
  20. Whilst we're talking unrealistic trades, I think Macrae would suit our needs perfectly.
  21. Not sure about stage fright 'Pennant'... I remember the team in '87 were on a roll & blitzed North in the first final. Lets hope we get more of the same this time round & then for the following 3 games.
  22. As do all clubs 'Bonkers'... It's the elephant in the room and the AFL don't know how to handle it.
  23. Adelaide camp... He clearly has inside info at the Crows.
