First thing I noticed 'Dee'... As you say hard to judge fitness from a photo, but he's looking pretty good to me.

Is he training with the forwards or backs?

I think he's one I would give more time before making a call 'old dee'...has some really good positives and will take time. Just not sure what position yet but wouldn't be surprised if he ends up in a KP.

He talks a good game when I've heard him interviewed on the radio. Storm are a great organisation. Could be a good fit.

Great effort from Maeve...well deserved on a great season. How McNamara missed out on the squad is baffling... edit: will probably have more midfielders playing on the specialist wing position as per usual.

Early 60's anyway.... After '64 the decline set in setting up the long walk to 1987. How I still follow the club is a miracle after going through this period. I guess you call it character building.

I would be surprised if we don't finish top 4 and give it a real shake in 2025...

I'm thinking the same 'Robbie', Lil has been great for the club and really important around the group. ...but she hasn't had a good season and has struggled a bit at times before that. With a lot more athletically gifted female footballers who have been well trained before they come into the system, it's going to make it harder for some of the older players. Particularly those who don't have stand out attributes. I think Lampy is another who has struggled. The game and talent level is improving quickly and some will get left behind. Mick is going to have to make some very hard calls. Interesting times ahead.

I would have a guess it's to do with the number of fans who will watch. The so called big clubs would be well represented at another guess.

Talking in another thread about AA chances I forgot Chaplin...she must be in the discussion.

Just put this here...All Australian honours. I would think McNamara & Hore. Is Goldie eligible? I reckon she is terribly underrated in the competition but should be under consideration as a defender.

An option might be to play Harris back...although it might not be what she wants. I could see her as an exciting prospect with intercept marking & attack on the ball/player at CHB.

Not a big clean out 'norm' but I would think there are a few who have previously been automatic selections that would make way to allow some of the fresh blood to develop. The team is in a good place...

We wouldn't have won it though 'norm'... I think the adversity and player changes this season sets us up well for the future. There's is still a bit of a shake out that needs to happen and that's going to be hard for Mick.

If it doesn't pan out for us tonight it's still been a very positive season. We've unearthed some future champions. Things are looking good. ...and if Lize isn't the AA wing then something is wrong.

There are a few on here who I'm convinced would rather be proved right than see us succeed 'Pennant', so I put the question out to one of Goody's major detractors. Anyway, I think the question will be moot as I expect us to bounce back in 2025.

She's not a spud, no one that plays at the level is a spud. ...but I think the game may have passed her by, too easily pushed off the ball and makes to many mistakes. I think it's time to have a look at Rigoni...

What it is or what attributes you don't rate 'dazz'??? You obviously watch a bit of junior football and know people in the system so I'm interested in your feedback.

I was wondering who the 4 would be, not thinking it was Banno's 4 goals... So anyway...if we think forwards, the group of tall's is pretty awesome now...Banno, Gall, Campbell and Zanker. Will cause a lot of problems for opposition teams.

So...all this from a week or so back is water under the bridge as far as I'm concerned. I expect, given a clear run in preseason that Clarry will pick up the 10 coaches votes in the first game of the season. ..and then he and we're on our way. I know it's a forum and everyone has a right to have their say, but do we really need to go on and on about this now? ...and for the rest of the preseason? it's going to be tedious. It's done and dusted. ...and of course I don't have to read the thread, so I will go back to my standard position on this thread and for the most part steer clear.

Great performance again today... I don't see us as a serious threat this year and would like to see us keep developing the young talent. Gall and Campbell are very exciting prospects and I'm looking forward to hopefully seeing Rigoni before the end of the season..
