  1. Well, we don't even have Smith at the moment so how's that going for us? It's not about Lawrence, though he was probably the canary in the coal mine. The red flag was when PJ's succession plan was knocked back. Now where do we stand? Big decisions to be made but no one in a position to make them...
  2. I'm putting blame on those that voted the status quo, or those that did by default in not voting at all. That's a lot of people on this site.
  3. We have an interim President, acting CEO, effectively a caretaker coach & FD boss, still no home base & other issues not in the least our on-field performance. The writing has been on the wall for a while now, maybe even just before the flag. Those who voted for the status quo have a bit of thinking to do... Big decisions need to be made but we don't have a management team in place to make them.. A well run club doesn't end up in this position. Thanks...
  4. I think this might be a safe forum for a while. Sorry not to have checked in recently. I just watched some of Coachella on YouTube... I'm not a fan of big shows, would rather more intimate affairs. However, Benson Boon (never heard of him before) was impressive. It was a massive performance/show, only caught the last few songs but the penultimate was 'Bohemian Rhapsody' (not really a Queen fan either). He covered. the vocal & theatrics beautifully, big choir onstage, was wondering how the guitar player was going to cover May's parts (she could play by the way) then May elevates up through the stage... Impressive...
  5. One of the good guys...
  6. He really is playing well...interesting to see if he can sustain it. He also puts a lie to the idea of pace, just plods around the ground and gets to where the ball is then makes great decisions.
  7. The Dogs were without key players (Bont particularly...Treloar, Weightman) Sydney were a one man team tonight, awful. As I said, it's a long season...I don't think they will make it but I've been wrong many times before.
  8. It's a long season...they've only played one contender and got smashed.
  9. C/wood are ok but seriously tonight they were playing against Heeney. The rest of the Swans looked cooked.
  10. Time to move Disco back to see if he can make it as a Lever type interceptor. He's not a forward at AFL level.
  11. Kick was fine, Laurie should have taken the grab...
  12. Interesting watching Walsh tonight. He's running to the ball but not through the ball if that makes sense. He's hesitating... His confidence is down.
  13. Agree on McGovern...how many goal assists has he had for Collingwood?
  14. Don't know about suing but it was only a matter of time for this to happen to a lower ranked player...
  15. We looked very similar to the Hawks in that game. All I can hope is that we can turn it around in a similar fashion to them. The season is still young...
  16. Yep... That's unfortunately a bad sign....
  17. At one stage Kingy called the game a shoot out...I think at the time scores were 4 goals to 2. A shoot out without any shots fired. Then there was the call berating Wines for his poor handball turnover...I didn't know Wines was a redhead (it was Logan Evans). Another big call was that JHF needed help in the middle...he needed help alright, help to get out of 2nd gear. Both him & Rozee just coasted, they needed a rocket. Port look insipid without Butters. What a terrible game of footy it was.
  18. Yep, and it looks like it could be the Crows Kryptonite... EFC have looked 2nd rate yet still manage to kick 100 points.
  19. The season has a long way to go...
  20. Lappin was a great player, if he's anywhere near him we've got a good one. I think we have...
  21. There's no ladder yet, so we don't know if that's the case. Let's wait until the season starts before the doom sets in...
  22. I don't think so...it's footy department spend that falls inside the soft cap, not club admin.
  23. There is no doubt about that 'Macca'...
  24. He (Sestan) has been playing back in the practice games & doing well. Will be an interesting watch...
